The populace is free to send a message to the internet companies that they won't tolerate whatever horrific thing that ISPs do after it's repealed by canceling their internet service altogether.

Throwing molotovs at their buildings and lynching their employees would do a better job at getting the message through.

That's also illegal. Definitely wouldn't support lynching their workers, most of them have no effect on policy decisions.

Hopefully with all this terrible shit they're passing, it ensures a bunch of Republicans lose elections to Democrats and Democrats will be in the majority

This applies to both parties, do you really think the Democrats careabout you either? Two sides of the same coin

The internet is not going to be "ruined", unless you think the internet in 2014 was ruined.

That's a stupid and uninformed thing to say. The FCC was told in 2014 that they couldn't enforce net neutrality without Title 2 classification.

Hate to break it to you, but once ISPs realize how much profit they'll make from fucking people over, expect the model to become popular wherever you live as well.

Except European countries tend to have more choice in their ISPs, and can force their governments to back the hell down if they try to get rid of Net Neutrality, just like how Hungary did when their president tried to censor the internet.

In 2014, Verizon sued the FCC over this Open Internet Order, and was argued before the court as Verizon v. FCC. The court ruled that the FCC did not have the right to regulate the ISPs with regard to the last two points of the order: No blocking, and no unreasonable discrimination(although this rule still applies to wireless carriers), because the FCC did not classify ISPs in a way that allowed them to be regulated as such.

You wrote all that while not having any idea what it means.

Assuming everyone follows US policies just for profit, I live in Australia and the government has more control of businesses. I don't know if the same practise would apply here, but I'm confident we will get a better/refined deal for the public then the US got, being the first one to implement it.

Australia is looking more and more likely to get my citizenship some day. I have a way to get citizenship if I absolutely, absolutely wanted to leave. I don't want to do it, but I might need to in the end.

To all those who support the Republican party, it should be clear to you now that they haven't been looking after your best interest.

People been throwing their lives away trying to dig their way out of the ground by supporting a party that claims they can make all your dreams come true.

The truth is you're making THEIR dreams come true. Milking you dry to line their pockets as they fill the air with pollution to cover the sky in smog so you'll never be able to see the light of day again.

Doesn'y matter, liberal tears

That's the kind of thought process that will literally end up with every working American worked as a slave for a new labor system with literally NO PAY for any labor. The only thing you'll have is hope that maybe they will show enough kindness to throw you a bone.

I'm not a Liberal or a supporter of any specific political party. I'm just telling it like it is.

This kind of thinking offends a lot of people, but our Government is always looking for a way to screw everyone over left and right.

People tried to adopt this kind of thinking by electing an outsider, but when he started his campaign for President he no longer was an outsider. Trump's history didn't really paint a clear picture of having the American people's best interest at heart, either.

Well they're either going to make a lot of money because most people can't live without social media, video services, and video games or they're going to lose out on a lot of money if people say screw it and drop it completely.

Interesting to see how it will play out if they do repeal it.

Melbourne is where I'd be going. I have a friend that lives there. She used to live in Launceston or whatever in Tasmania and moved to Melbourne. She was like "If you ever want to vacation here, all you need to do is pay for the plane tickets. I'll take care of everything else!" And in regards to moving there, she was like "I'll marry you into citizenship if you want." .... Promised it years ago, still sticks by it today.

This reminds me of the 2016 election. Like how did we let this happen.

Democrats decided it was better for Hillary to be the nominee than letting democracy happen and the Republicans had no viable candidates so their anti establishment candidate won vs the embodiment of everything Americans hate about modern politics of Hillary. And the 3rd party candidates were too flawed to ever be viable.

And this isn't a conservative problem, democrats tried to pass sopa then passed the alternative while you weren't looking. Then they tried to repel net neutrality as well. On top of the "gold standard" TPP. Neither party is good or gives a fuck about you and as long as people vote party lines nothing will change

She's such a sweetie. I consider her my online sister. I've known her since 2005. She knows how to have fun too. She goes to Japan for a month every year and speaks it fluently. She's been interested in helping me learn. She's really, really cool with the LGBT scene and considers herself bi. We even just talked the other night and we were like "We totally need to go to a gay bar one night together whenever we meet" ... She was all over that.
