I think Season 3's last arc ended somewhat lame but, outside of that, the show has just been nailing it since Turn, Turn, Turn.

I can understand people not liking the episodic beginning, but I was fine with. It was actually what I was expecting from a comic book show in the first place when it was first announced. Boy did it step up its game though.

Every year people tell me that Agents of Shield has "gotten good"

And every year I watch it and it never really gets good.

It's not like the worst show I've ever seen or anything, but it's just not that engaging and quite honestly I feel embarrassed watching it just because of how cheesy it is.

Ghost Rider was cool and all but I definitely didn't share the rest of the fanbase's hype for him. The Framework was the best arc by far and boy did it deliver. I mean, yeah, the Ghost Rider arc was great, but the Framework was my favorite arc out of pretty much everything that show has done so far.

All of the comic book TV shows are pretty awful to me, though. It all feels like crap designed fanboys and fangirls tbqh.

Agents of Shield is one of those shows where it really hinges on the characters for people to enjoy it, I think.

For me, I hate every character on that show so I really dislike the show.

Yeah, same boat. Definitely something I can see people not bothering to watch as it wasn't very good, but we still get callbacks to stuff from that early on and some good development took place there. Unfortunate that the series started off so slow, but oh well.

Agents of Sheild just feels like Great Value Brand Marvel.

It's just bland and boring compared to the movies. Even when they shook it up by bringing in Ghost Rider, he was a bland and boring Ghost Rider cause they clearly didn't have the budget for good CGI.

Like, I remember the big finale I saw of his arc was him just being stuck in a box, and then just hugging his uncle or whatever.

After that I was done. It has it's fans and that's fine, but I just find it so dreadfully dull. And it's not like it even ties into the movies anyways.

I think AoS does a really good job at mixing humor and seriousness without going too over the campy line that some comic book shows do. It definitely has moments where I hear Phil say something and I'm thinking in my head "Ugh, please stop." but that's far less frequent now than it was in season one and I guess that's supposed be part of his charm.

It's not so much that it only gets good at the Framework arc. It's that the Framework arc is probably the best one the show's ever done. I usually rate AoS as being "pretty good." Framework was the first time it was legitimately great.

IMO, season three was weaker than season two, so it's not a uniform opinion that it gets better as it goes on. I also thought the first half of season four with Ghost Rider was pretty weak too FWIW.

It got good after the TAHITI episode because it had an actual story.

Season 4 was phenomenal tho and is split into 3 different arcs that are all connected.

Show was already great by Turn, Turn, Turn and just kept topping itself until season threes weak ending episodes. Season four picked up again but it wasnt until AIDA came to the front that i eould say it became the best episodes of the series. If you didnt like it after Winter Soldier, dont bother.

Because seriously, if you didnt like the last arc and you didnt like season two, idk wtf you kept watching, lol.
