The general pace of the gameplay sped up a shitton with BW and the 3DS games kept that up. So if you think Gen IV is bad because it's "slow", those games are definitely improvements there.
However, there is how the pacing of the adventures are drowned by the intrusive story events in Gen V and VII, and leveling is a pain in the ass in those games due to the scaling EXP. But, in Gen VII, there is rarely an issue with the scaling as you only need to be Level 50 to be ready for online or Tree due to the Move Relearner working on moves that are learned at later levels. The only problematic situations should be A) trying to get a Pokemon to 100 for Hyper Training or B) trying to evolve Zweilous who does so at level 64. You should never have a problem getting to levels up to 60 with the levels you can fight, especially with USUM now having SOS battles with Blissey and Chansey on Poni Island. BW was straight fucked there, though. B2W2 at least the Treehollow/Skyscraper can get enemy levels up to 90. ... Copied to Clipboard!
