The pair has a 13 year age gap as the model has been criticized for "sexualizing" children with her message widely panned as "disgusting" One person wrote "Ali Michael is literally 27 this whole joking abt children hitting puberty and sexualizing them as a way to invoke a funny rhetoric is sick" But fans of Ali has DEFENDED her describing the comments as a "joke". Several users pointed out if a man had made the comments, he would have been treated differently as one user said "And if the roles were reversed and a 27 y/o man said this about a 14 y/o people would be dragging him, but since she's a girl, it's ok? wtf" Ali took to instagram to reiterate and apologize that it was a complete absolute "joke" and said "Hi, Yesterday i posted a picture of Mike from Stranger Things and wrote call in 4 years.
