Anthony Rapp was in a Broadway play when he was 14 in 1986.
It was a big Broadway party at Spaceys home with lots of alcohol.
Since Rapp was a responsible underage, he went to Spaceys bedroom and watched TV instead of getting drunk.
After midnight Spacey came into his bedroom, all drunk, picked up Rapp, put him in bed, went on top of him and tried to seduce him.
Since Rapp was a responsible kid, he was quiet instead of screaming for help, pushed Spacey away and walked away.
Spacey dont remember anything because he was drunk.

I'm with ya. 14 is just too young for me to defend him, but a confused gay man hitting on like a 17 year old and then stopping when he gets turned down is a normal human interaction in my view. But 14? Naw man, can't do it.

I find it hard to be outraged. It's not a good thing that happened but I quite frankly don't really care unless you find me evidence he didn't stop behavior like this.

I save my outrage. Being angry over everything all the time just makes you miserable. I save it for things that affect me personally or are more malicious.

There has been a trend I've seen in the past few years that I call "Shamedenfreude" (Schadenfreude+shaming). It's where people seem to really get off on hating somebody and wishing their life ruined and them infinitely shamed the mere instant a story breaks. Having standards for what people don't approve of is one thing but the getting off on mob shaming somebody clearly isn't healthy for anybody.
