Trump:
Democrat Congresswoman totally fabricated what I said to the wife of a soldier who died in action (and I have proof). Sad!

And then his own Chief of Staff spoke to reporters:
A member of Congress who listened in on a phone call from the President of the United States to a young wife, and in his way tried to express that opinion that hes a brave man, a fallen hero. He knew what he was getting himself into because he enlisted theres no reason to enlist, he enlisted and we was where he wanted to be, exactly where he wanted to be, with exactly the people he wanted to be with when his life was taken.

That was the message that was the message that was transmitted, Kelly continued.

Trumps Press Secretary did say itd be highly inappropriate to disagree with a four star general.

Of course Trump lied about it. The majority of garbage that comes out of his mouth is a lie especially when it pertains to himself

The Chief of Staff criticized the Congresswoman for listening in on the phone call to the widow. Except she is a family friend and was among those invited to hear the President give his condolences.

He and the President said the phone call was supposed to be private. Meanwhile Trump is tweeting that his proof that the Congresswoman is lying is that there were several other people in the room with him.

You could copy and paste a 100 Trump lies and Admiral and Mal_Fet would still try to defend the lies somehow.

Trump cant let any criticism or perceived criticism by without responding to it.

He was asked if he had spoken to the families. On the spot he said he had written some letters and was in the middle of writing the rest, but that he was going to send them out by the end of the day. And also added that he was giving the families time to mourn.

Then he added something about how they (the reporters) should ask John Kelly if he got condolences from Obama when his son died.

Which leaves me to believe he lied about the letters to begin with and tried to pre-emptively defend himself about not calling yet by bringing in the previous President into the mix. Pretty much, No, I havent called yet but neither did Obummer when he was President

Kelly was listening in, too, so his privacy statement is also pretty hypocritical of him.

John Kelly tried to criticize the Congresswoman, saying she shouldnt be believed because of a history of her saying untrue things.

He cited a speech of hers from 2015. He said she lied about funding an FBI building in 2009. In reality she wasnt a Congresswoman in 2009, and in the 2015 speech she talked about getting the buildings name changed, naming it after two slain FBI agents.

And when a reporter asked Press Secretary Sarah Sanders about John Kellys untrue claims she said shes not getting into it and that its highly inappropriate to disagree with a four star general.

Except remember hes not only serving in the Presidents administration, hes the Chief of Staff, his job is almost entirely political. Its his job to help the President on all matters, push through his agenda and protect his interests.

Were only 9 months in and the Presidents crowning achievement is bitching out at people on social media and throwing people under the bus.

Before this week, I thought Kelly was supposed to be the adult in the White House. But now we know he's just as worthless as his boss.

IIRC, he was trying to control Trump and keep him from spending his time binging Fox News and reading Breitbart.

Why does everyone always interpret Trumps word in the most negative way possible? Do you seriously think he said that line from a place of malice and intentionally trying to dishonor the soldiers death?

I believe it was actually her that first started the name calling. She and/or the family took offense when he said that the soldier knew what he signed up for. After that is when she publicly commented on the phone call and called Trump a sick man.

It was a private call so there was no other information for people to go on besides what the Congresswoman said and his history of insulting the military and veterans.

But calling her wacky is perhaps the most tame comeback by him ever.
