There are spiders that make "silkhenges" - silk structures fencing in a single egg so that the hatchling can have food to eat. http://mysteriousuniverse.org/2016/12/mysterious-spider-creates-stonehenge-of-silk/

And a spider that basically liquefies its insides for its hatchlings to feed on, and she can even halt the process early enough if she detects a threat: https://www.wired.com/2015/05/absurd-creature-of-the-week-barfing-spider/

In case you like stuff like that, and just in case you didn't see it, Wired has the Absurd Creature of the Week article. The archive's here: https://www.wired.com/tag/absurd-creature-of-the-week/

Wired got really inconsistent (I haven't read it in a while, since that ridiculous 'article' about different colors of beach-washed glass shards), but their creature features are amazing.

That's how a lot of wasps work. Some target caterpillars, some target the larvae of other wasps, like the giant ichneumon, which looks like a lovecraftian nightmare monster but actually is incapable of stinging.
