I disagree. Respect is given by me as respect is earned, and I say that as someone who has had the same job for 6+ years and had a previous job for 4 years. I agree with this sentiment. Kneeling before something is usually seen as the most obvious symbol of respect and/or submissiveness. Isn't it more appropriate to say that those kneeling are actually being more respectful of the flag, not less?
