Completely wrong.

The scientific principles are believed because of the indisputable evidence supporting them.

Does the sun bring heat to the earth? Yes. Do I know how it does that? I can read an article about it, but still not truly understand it.

Already your language is hostile yet confused. Science is not to be "believed" according to you, yet you use that term "believed" to describe people's relationship with science. Most people will tell you the Earth is round without really understanding why - they simply take it on faith of scientists, who they consider credible.

There is no possible way to validate every single fact or piece of evidence yourself without losing a mastery in your own craft. You have to rely on other human beings sometimes and take things on trust. And when you do that, you're not really engaged in a process that is different than those who are religious. They just trust different people and different texts.

By far, the dumbest post in this entire topic.

When scientists say that they can transform the human voice into a series of ones and zeroes that can be shot across continents and rebuilt and replicated ten thousand miles away, it sounds as ridiculous as Jesus walking on water. But when I call someone across the world, I'm actually able to speak to them.

When someone tells me they can send a 500 ton hunk of metal across the atlantic ocean at 600 miles an hour and have it safely land and take off, I'd say they're crazy. But planes actually do fly. We've all be on one.

I'm not trusting the "text" of a signals processing book or a physics textbook. I'm actually doing the things they say can be made possible.

And honestly, you think that scientists of the modern era have no more credibility than the people who wrote the bible two thousand years ago, who spoke about how the universe was created despite not even knowing that dinosaurs existed?

I doubt he actually believes that, he's just trying to muddy the waters using logic that so painfully bad it was a punchline by the stupidest person on a comedy show full of stupid people.

Gotta love the irony of all this unprovable, superstitious magic bullshit only happening before photography and easy transfer of information.

It's almost like religion specifically takes advantage of fear and deception in order to grow in power and money.

You can use God in creative ways. Like when you see someone in misery such as an alcoholic. Just say something absolutely useless like "trust in God" and it will look like you're trying to help, but the important part is putting yourself higher than them. Or you can tear them down with "everything happens for a reason." Any time anyone disagrees with you, you just walk away and shake the dust off your sandals in victory. Matthew 10:14

The best part of belonging to a church is exposing another church member when they've been going against policy, like when they have a porn collection. The worse the better. Everone's fantasy is to get someone kicked out or have their reputation ruined and it becomes like a sport. That's probably even more so for the older people.

Well I'm a Christian and I feel.the bible was written with metaphors and alagories because man simply could not comprehend it at the time. Maybe the exact science behind GOD is slowly being found out. Atoms to me are GOD's building blocks. Similar to lego' s but much much more complicated. Lego's can only become blocky shapes, atoms can take any shape or form. Exactly how GOD manipulates the atoms and everything else we have seen, remains a mystery for now. But I do believe one day we will be able to prove the bible with concrete proof, through science. We have learned so much in such a short amount of time. I firmly believe the big bang was cause by GOD. If angels, demons, heaven, hell, etc exist. Then maybe they are different universes. Maybe their is more to a conscious then we know. If we ever get to the point where we reach a brick wall in science and know everything to know about the universe. Then and only then will I believe that GOD doesn't exist. But that will take millions upon millions of years.

Kinda this for me aswell

Why dont people think like meeeeeeeeee

Why can't (otherwise smart) people figure out a very simple truth?

I don't get it either. How could people not deduce that there has to be something from which everything else came? How could people believe that everything around them, including themselves, is a coincidence? I don't get it.

God always was and is. As humans, we really can't wrap our heads around that, but that doesn't make it untrue. There has to be a "first mover" or someplace/thing/one where everything else came from.

Science says matter (and energy) cannot be created nor destroyed. Well, clearly someone or something had to break that law in order for the universe to be created, no?

The Universe always was and always is. It is literally impossible for anything to create matter. It makes more sense for just the universe always existing than some random sentient being just always existing and having brains for some reason. And if there was a creator why did he make the universe so huge? Why did He make so few planets have life? Why not have life on Earth until over a billion years of it being formed? Why have animals evolving instead of just being fully developed by creation? It just doesn't add up. Why so many religions over the course of human history?

I'm not saying they have no more credibility. In your frothing stupid rage you've worked yourself into, you've failed to see my point. I doubt you ever will, because you have a deep belief in your own genius. You're so genius you don't have to even understand the posts you're replying to before berating the person that wrote them. Where is video footage of angels and demons? They're invisible, why? Also, the return of Jesus is supposed to be imminent. Sometime "soon" as in "this generation will not pass" before he returns.

I find it unfortunate that if Jesus really did perform miracles, there was absolutely no form of proof that people of that time period could have used to convince future generations. In fact, even if it were to happen today, it still couldn't be "proven" because of the existence of video/photo editing. So I guess that's where faith comes in.
