when you do that, you're not really engaged in a process that is different than those who are religious. They just trust different people and different texts.

By far, the dumbest post in this entire topic.

When scientists say that they can transform the human voice into a series of ones and zeroes that can be shot across continents and rebuilt and replicated ten thousand miles away, it sounds as ridiculous as Jesus walking on water. But when I call someone across the world, I'm actually able to speak to them.

When someone tells me they can send a 500 ton hunk of metal across the atlantic ocean at 600 miles an hour and have it safely land and take off, I'd say they're crazy. But planes actually do fly. We've all be on one.

I'm not trusting the "text" of a signals processing book or a physics textbook. I'm actually doing the things they say can be made possible.

And honestly, you think that scientists of the modern era have no more credibility than the people who wrote the bible two thousand years ago, who spoke about how the universe was created despite not even knowing that dinosaurs existed?
