No one has made several consecutive lines of phones that will eventually boot loop no matter what. Samsung spent billions cleaning up the mess and made a lot of amends with Note 7 customers. They took responsibility and made a great S8/+ and Note 8. They tried to win back the trust. Apple hasn't had major issues like that either except for antennagate. LG denied warranty support for older phones and straight pretended the issue didn't exist till everything up to the G4 and V10 started bootlooping because of Pokemon GO's popularity and the heat requirements being unable to be handled by their shoddy design. They continued making phones that still did this when the issue was already brought up way before with the G3s and 5Xs. LG lost all their credibility and trust in the smartphone community after that. We don't even know if the G6 and V30 have fixed this since even the V20 is too new and does indeed have cases of bootlooping. It takes a year for symptoms to show. I even bought a G6 knowing all this but I got it for $120, hence a dirt cheap recommendation. --- It all just disappears, doesn't it?
