Feels good man. No more cancer ridden power plants for this guy. I'm now a facilities manager for a hospital (basically I will keep their medical gas and critical HVAC stuff running and other stuff like that)
I'm taking a bit of a pay cut but benefits are pretty good and I won't risk dying every day I go to work anymore. whats in the power plants that might give cancer? Everything. Seriously though, there are literally signs throughout power plants that say "Warning: Cancer area". Lots of arsenic and asbestos when you burn coal. Usually after the first week of starting a project I get sick as a dog because of all the shit in the air. The $40-$50 an hour is nice but I got my house now so I'd rather do something I don't hate now.
