I assumed it was simply to do the most loss of life. Some steel beams are stronger than others, different soldering, etc. Tower 1 was bombed in 1993 so it got different repairs than Tower 2. The first plane flied straight into the tower while the second was at a wider angle, damaging more floors and thereby giving a worse structural damage. They most likely carried different ammounts of fuel which created different levels of heat and different levels of structural damage. I want to remember that both towers were designed wrong and couldnt withstand a strong enough wind if it came from the wrong side (or Im thinking of the wrong building), and they made nightly repairs for months fixing it, which gives more structural differences. So one building was weaker than the other and one building was hit harder. --- GameFAQs isn't going to be merged in with GameSpot or any other site. The upper floors began collapsing, adding weight exponentionally to the lower floors supporting them. IIRC, the tower that was hit second came down first. How did that happen? Just watch the footage.
