I try to be much more relaxed when playing video games. I used to spend whole summers playing games non-stop. I don't do that sort of thing anymore.

not to video games in general, from like 2010-2016 I played maybe 5 hours a week on average.

but end of 2016 and 2017 ived played a shit ton of Civ VI and HOI IV like maybe 30 hours a week for the last year? its getting bad man. thankfully I am just starting to get tired of HOI IV.

In a good week, I'll play maybe 3-5 hours of Heroes of the Storm with my friends. Other than that, I pretty much never play video games. And when I do, it's usually stuff that is very easy to pick up and put down on the fly -- think idle games, phone games, that kinda stuff that I barely count as video games

I do get addicted to particular games a few times per year. I'll go weeks or even months where I may not play games at all, but occasionally games come out that I become obsessed with. Thankfully they're always single player games so I usually finish them pretty quickly.

Most PC games you can play on your TV aren't worth playing to me. After spending 300AUD on a mouse and keyboard going to a 30AUD controller feels like horseshit.
