Yep, as someone that has about 36-48 hours into this game I can say that's about the gist of it. It's fun to play in doubles or squad though.

Play solos until you're comfortable with the game (to the point where you can drop at school or another populated area and not freak out and die) then jump in duos/teams or find some pals to play with. So many f***ers play it so it's not hard to find peeps.

a lot of people don't play it for the graphics. in fact turning the graphics down to the lowest setting to make it look like a ps2 game gives you an advantage over max settings due to the reduced foliage, so a lot of people do it. Its battle royale fps aspect just feels great. you're thrown in with 100 players but matches don't go on forever.

it really appeals to the CoD audience that has been abandoned with shitty current CoD games, in the sense that you feel like a "badass" when you do great, so the popularity doesn't surprise me. And it's still in early access development, so it can only get better hopefully. It's not gonna sink into development hell like other early access titles due the fame.

No idea but I might return. I have a 980 and it's running weird. Like real choppy and the buildings don't load for like 2 minutes after I land

I landed and killed someone with a shotgun right away

I've had great luck land with weapons near me. I go straight in a populated area and gear up

They've made 100 mill or something crazy like that but they haven't done anything to fix bugs. All of their time has gone into a loot crate system instead (which they said the game wouldn't have).

tbh the graphics are actually pretty good if you're running on high/max

it just runs like dogshit if you do that, and low settings is better from a competitive POV so everyone plays on minimum which looks like an early xbox 360 game
