Mostly it's inferior to the 2006 series in almost every way, the majority of the jokes aren't funny, the main characters act like jerks, and I'm pretty sure the writers get their ideas by hitting the random button on TVTropes.

Not that they haven't had a few good episodes.

it's stupid and childish. if they kept the original going, it wouldn't matter. but they killed the original to make this. also, it ruins the characters. like for example, there was an episode of the original where Raven and Starfire have a crush on Aqualad. But then I saw an episode of Go where Aqualad tries to hit on Raven and she ignores him and blows him off. Makes no sense. also, I always picture Batman calling up Robin and being like "For fucks sake Robin! Stop singing about the potty dance! Joker just set off a bomb in downtown Gotham! hundreds are dead!!!! I need you! Robin, you piece of shit!"

Nothing. It's great.

And I love the original.

They dumbed down the content for kids which insults the newer generation of kids. The writing does have moments of brilliance so you can tell some of the writers are actually really good but they keep that smart stuff on a tight leash.

I seen a few episodes, I don't like it since these heroes are just assholes. I know I am not the target demo so I don't care as much as some other people do. But these were heroes I grew up with and I hate seeing like that.

I like the art style of the original more and can't bring myself to watch the new one because it looks like its trying too hard to be a joke.

The original was unfortunately actually too good and the demographics were showing college kids and young adults loved the show. Well, we can't have that for advertising so insert silly animation that will only hold the attention of grade school children. It's all about that money.

TTG is more drama focused than the action of the original show. Plus TTG has like no character development in it. It's not a bad show, but it's not really what people expected especially after the original Teen Titans ended on a cliffhanger.

It would also likely recieve less hate if it wasn't CN's dream child where CN will show TTG constantly and find all sorts of excuses to marathon it.

"Regular Show is ending, let's air a marathon of TTG all day instead of airing previous episodes to lead up to the finale."

its basically a worse spongebob with characters repainted as low quality teen titan lookalikes. I'm not saying it's bad, but it's just another one of those "its a bunch of idiots doing dumb shit so its funny" shows that completely butcher the source material.

It's not Teen Titans is the main problem.


On its own merit, it's a good and funny show for kids. I've certainly enjoy some episodes, people are just angry at the show for being around when the original isn't. I miss the original too, but that's not this show's fault.

The problems with the show is essentially it is campy and rely on idiotic humor to be funny. There is nothing smart, touching, impactful or whatever about the show really because of how stupid the show general premise usually is. When there is literally episodes about nothing but the bathroom and having fun in it, you know the writers are not aiming for anything but low brow stupid humor with little significance. It is extra jarring still because the characters are reduced to obnoxious caricatures that doesn't even resemble what they used to be. They had alot of depth before. Now, they're just props to make fun of. The show itself isn't terrible, but it isn't good, and it gets extra hate for basically being nothing like the show it is basing the characters off of except for in their likeness, and being on all the time. I

Please, as an adult, try watching some old Teen Titans and tell me its not cringey. There was a time and a demographic, but it certainly hasnt aged well thematically.

Go is certainly overplayed, but hugely underrated by fans of the original.

I don't know. Last I remember somebody named Slade was fighting Robin and eventually Robin was forced to become his villainous sidekick because Slade had embedded nanobots in his friends that he could detonate at any minute unless Robin did his bidding. That sounds like a pretty dark and serious dichotomy to subject a young demographic to imo.

Old Teen Titans wasn't perfect but lol at defending the vapid shit we have now.

I haven't seen much of it, but what I've seen is really funny. I don't get the internet's general ire for this show; people think it "replaced" the old Teen Titans. The fact is, there still wouldn't be new Teen Titans episodes if Go didn't exist.

I can understand if people want more of the original show, but a comedy-based spinoff is hurting nobody. It's like being mad at The Lego Batman Movie for being silly.

In that instance, Slade wanted to use Robin as a side kick, and didn't want to kill him. It wasn't about ready removing roadblocks in that instance. Slade and Robin had an interesting relationship that you seem to have missed.

Ill admit its been a while since ive seen much of the show so maybe i did miss something. its still pretty illogical though, and he ends up moving on to a new apprentice anyway so he must not have been that deadset on robin

I was curious about it, and so I read up, and it seem to be almost a pride thing. I am a little sick from a hangover so forgive my inarticulateness. Anyway, he spent most of his time hunting for apprentices and a seeming heir for what he is trying to accomplish. He did the same with the children of the hive, and various other people. Killing robin would be effectively killing his mentee, and despite his cruelty, he really values that relationship alot. He also came to respect Robin and his abilities alot, so killing him in such a way would be beneath him. Interesting character. The show had even more depth then I remembered. It also helped that Slade joins the teen Titans in the final season, after his Resurrection.

It's a spit in the face of the original cartoon, for starters.

A lot of people here are saying people dislike just because it is different. However many people like Young Justice when it was Teen titans like but still different. I think writing people off like that is not helpful. People have there own taste, and while I might not agree with how upset some people get with the show. It is their feeling to have.
