I'm gonna have to sit this one out if it's too fucked up. Rated R with kids and the original had that element so ehhhh I dunno. I'm not down with seeing it if so.

I'm not talking about space clowns killing kids, I'm talking about the dad molesting the little girl. I don't want to watch that shite. It's heavily implied in the miniseries and I have to assume an r rated movie takes things further.

I mean in the book all the kids go into the sewer and gang bang the girl in an attempt to become adults and make IT go away and the girl comments on one boys lack of pubes implying he was prepubescent. I haven't seen the movie but I have a feeling that the child molestation implication and things like the child gang bang were removed...

How do people still not know about the sewer gang-bang thing yet?

It's literally come up in every single topic/discussion about the movie for the past month. O_o

They had already defeated IT. The gang were lost in the sewers, scared shitless and starting to turn on eachother. Beverly then thought it would bring them all together if they all ran a train on her.

Yeah, he beats her but he never molested her.

It's implied that he would like to tho. He never done it, but there are sexual undertones there.

The only thing sexual is her dad noticing that she's getting breasts, which "makes him worry" about her and boys. She mentions her dad looking her up and down, but that's it.

Mild spoilers.

Her dad never molests her and probably never wants to of his own volition. However, a big theme in the novel is that these kids are growing up and part of that involves Beverley becoming more aware of sex and attraction to some/all of the boys in her group of friends. Near the end of the book, IT twists her father's abusive strictness about her dating and this sexual awakening together, possessing her father and having him chase her while threatening to rape her. He doesn't catch her though.

It's not so bad in the new movie.
Her dad is concerned that she's growing up and spending more time with boys from school. He acts creepy, sniffs her hair, and asks if she's still his little girl. Later, he hears rumors that she's been sleeping around with the boys in the losers club, and becomes angry. She pulls away from him(he was holding her hand really tightly) and says she not his girl any more. She falls backwards and he crouches over her, and begins to say something when she kicks him in the crotch and locks herself in the bathroom. When he kicks the door in, she nails him in the head with the toilet lid and leaves him unconscious in the floor.

0_0 Is she going to be put in child services after this? Because I don't see that ending well for her if she doesn't.
