Oh and remember the part where he sentenced Tyrion, just so he could get Jaime out of KG, then had him set for execution, while sleeping with his girl.

I loved Tywin, if we count him as a villain.

Worst, however, is the Night King by far. Literally no personality, a much less interesting version of, say, Warcraft's Scourge. That whole storyline distracts from what made the show interesting to me in the first place, the, you know, Game of Thrones...

I kind of agree. The idea of White Walkers and an army of the dead is terrifying and was a perfect background threat for the Wall storyline. But now that it's bleeding into every other character's plots, it lost most of its mystique.

well the very fist scene in the show was with White Walkers though, I mean I'm pretty sure that is how it was planned.

they coulda made them a little more interesting though. It is like they touch on it in season 1 and then leave it alone until wayyyy later until that is all anyone talks about.

I have no doubt it was planned that way. The first scene was a brilliant way to open the show. The problem is that now that the Night King is the "main" villain, we're going to lose a lot of scheming-for-the-throne dialogue, which is what made the first few seasons so compelling.

But I could be wrong. It'll be interesting to see how they handle it in season 8.

How is book Euron different from show Euron?

He isn't a complete goofball and has armor made of Valyrian steel, an eyepatch covering a supposedly black eye (Crow's Eye), has sailed to Asshai and walked through the ruins of Valyria, and has a horn that can supposedly control dragons but burns whoever blows it from the inside. And a bunch of other magical shit he's working on. We don't know the extent of his plans yet.

Is he in the book more than he is in the show? I only remember him being in a few episodes in the last couple seasons.

He's not in them very much yet. But one of the preview chapters for Winds (if it ever comes) focuses on him a lot.

I finally recently read that sample chapter and man, I forgot how fucked up Book Euron can be.
