Do you have a mapped out route you plan on taking, so you know where to expect food/water/possibly places to rest while you hike?!?

If so, what is your estimated hiking time?

Noice. Any plans for a blog/Vlog? I do a lot of hiking but will likely never have the time/money to do any of the major trails. Most I could realistically get time for would be The Long Trail.

kind of, i'm using ley's maps (and guthooks for GPS) but haven't figured out the full route yet; food is easy, water is okay, i don't plan on zero days so i will just tent accordingly wherever i like

i estimate just a little over 4 months, somewhere near 130 days

Your 10 year visa actual only works for six month. And you are not allowed to work for money.

I'm in Pennsylvania :p

There's a lot of nice forest hikes/camping here. You could probably hike the Susquehannock Trail System for years and still not hit all the trails. Stuff all though the Monongahela National Forest, like the Dolly Sods. Even stuff like the Laurel Highlands Trail through Ohippyle is pretty nice. The only thing you don't get is some of those "Holy fuck" views you'll get out of doing something like the CDT.

Which reminds me. It may "add" a day or two, but don't dare skip the Rocky Mountain National Park loop. I don't know why some CDT thru hikers are so eager to bag their triple crown that they would skip a national park. Almost as if they forget why they started hiking.

Tbh, I would advise you not to. Such a long break from employment will hurt your CV, assuming if you've been a working professional up to this point.

He's already done the Appalachian Trail this year. I don't think he's the type that's too worried about a couple of empty years on his CV. :p
