also, 2 disappointing games I thought of
Dead Rising 3. AS THE BOARD'S NUMBER 1 DEAD RISING FAN, I had high expectations. And a hispanic main character? SWEET but the game bit off more than it could chew. It put you in a Grand Theft Auto size map, but way too little vehicles, ROAD BLOCKS when you DO get one, and hordes of zombies in every street. Its just not fun to traverse, and not only that, all of the weapons and stuff are hidden in Blue Prints now, which are placed in random places on the map. But at the same time, the game feels like its discouraging you from exploring by putting so many things against you, BUT YET the game DOES become super fun when you unlock everything. This game was a mess. Like I said, I ultimately ended up enjoying it but only after I 100%'d it, but thats one hell of a fucking mountain to climb. While the other games still have a curve to it when you start, it really feels like its more pick up and play instead of a project another game that was disappointing was...Double Dragon IV. it had no heart and no thought put into it. None of the programming quirks from the first games were present. You know that Kung Fu trope where only a few guys from a large group attack you at once? That was present in the earlier games to balance it out to keep you from getting your ass kicked. Most beat em ups have that! THIS game does not have that. And because its on a PS4, it has more blast processing so it can sic up to 10 enemies at you at once and they ALL gangrape you. There are a few very lazy things that the game implemented to try to help you but it could have all been preventable. I was in denial about it for a long time and I even made a tutorial video on the game, but yea I've come to terms with it, its not good. and this is not including how uninspired the maps were and many other things Hmmm, maybe I can make a video explaining all of this --- ... Oh hey, since we've been taking about Mario RPGs lately, was the Mario & Luigi/Paper Mario crossover one any good? It felt like that one came and went with no fanfare. Paper Jam? As generic as they can get There isn't anything "bad" about it, but it's just..generic Like, look at the map http://mariopartylegacy.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/10/mlpjmap.png Peach Castle, grassy plains, desert, forest, beach , ice mountain, Bowser Castle Compare this to say..Paper Mario, that had Shy Guy Toybox, Boo Mansion, Yoshi Island, Flower Fields, Crystal Palace etc --- 3DS FC : 3411-1762-0066 ... sounds like DDIV is for you then As much as I loved the old Double Dragon games, I really wish the River City games didn't have that Kung Fu Mentality. I think you're underestimating how balancing that trope is
When all of the enemies are on top of you, they can knock you down, hover over your body, and knock you down immediately again when you stand up because they're all throwing attacks out randomly and you'll definitely stand up into a hitbox from ONE of them the only way to inflict damage is to do a wake up attack like the hyper knee but the invincibility only lasts for like 2 frames, you'll hit a few of them but then they'll start attacking you and because you're in the air, you'll be knocked down again. Rinse and repeat its seriously not fun --- ... Copied to Clipboard!

I think you're underestimating how balancing that trope is When I'm down to my last character and I have Cable spamming projectiles and Blackheart/Sentinel coming in every second preventing me from doing anything I don't complain. I like the challenge, even if it's an unfair challenge. Now I'm not saying that has to be how the game always is, but I'd love a higher difficulty setting where it was like that. Obviously they messed up by forcing that difficulty on people, but I'd at least like it to be an option if i want to play that way. --- 1st Year OMG Link Always Wins. 2nd Year OMG FF7 Always Wins. 3rd Year OMG Link Always Wins. 2101st Year OMG CATS Always Wins. ... you can at least BLOCK in Mahvel Tell that to Cable when your new character comes in. But yea, I know it's not the same type of game I was only trying to make a statement. (Though technically you can block in River City games too which is really the one I was using as an example. ;p) However, yes I will agree that having no way of defending yourself isn't fun, that being the case I'd rather them actually give some defensive counterplay and have enemies swarm me than to have no defensive counterplay and have them come at me 1 at a time. DD IV having no way of doing this was a huge oversight on their part. --- 1st Year OMG Link Always Wins. 2nd Year OMG FF7 Always Wins. 3rd Year OMG Link Always Wins. 2101st Year OMG CATS Always Wins. ... If you wanted OoT 2 then I can see MM being disappointing, but MM still has a ton of Zelda stuff in it. The only big thing it's really missing is the Zelda-centric storyline. So I think if you just wanted another good Zelda, it shouldn't be too shocking.
BOTW on the other hand has almost no Zelda stuff in it, so it's easy to be disappointed if you wanted another Zelda game. Even if you actually liked the game independently. --- _foolmo_ 2 + 2 = 4 ... Copied to Clipboard!
