Why do you spend so much time posting political garbage on this board instead of other things that are more interesting? Like hobbies, video games, sports, literally anything else, etc?

Yeah...these are the type of topics that people post in and never come back to. You don't really get a conversation.

That's true of most "What are your unpopular opinions?" "What's your favorite movie?" etc. things, which is a shame because they could have some interesting discussions.

momentum, coupled with anger at the system, is definitely the main thing keeping me going. pretty sure the latter takes precedence for me

but also I do believe to some extent that I can instill class consciousness in people. if not the resident ancaps, then maybe some other people who see my posts. I'm slowly radicalizing my sister irl, though she's pretty sympathetic to begin with

I had a good thread going about Killing Floor 2 going the other day. It takes effort, but generally at least 3 people will be interested in any random topic you can think of.

You should have taken your own advice and not wasted time posting and bumping a topic you made about me.

But to answer your question, politics interests me. And many Current Events can heavily fall under the politic spectrum, particularly during these times of "Omg Trump won I can't believe it" (from both sides). What happened during this election and leading up to it was monumental, so the political-esque topics are going to be more frequent for the foreseeable future.

I do participate in other topics and discussions on here as well, and enjoy many other activities off of GameFAQs.

TC, I think it's because non-topicality on a message board is a dying medium. The internet is so much more organized these days. It's more conducive to find a community on a particular topic I'm interested in rather than find the one or two users here who have a similar interest (unlikely, unless it's gaming).

This results in most threads that aren't controversial to have rather weak conversation. Despite the automatic habit of peeking in here once in a while, I'm consciously registering more and more that it's a waste of time for me to even lurk here. I don't relate with 99% of the users here and I've quickly learned not to take things at face value, which makes most discussion here pointless.

Politics here are either extremist or trollish/disingenuous. Often a mix of both.
