I'm guessing people are worried that there will be some egotistical genderfluid person who changes his/her genders randomly in order to entrap someone with this law..

Honestly, if a situation occurs where a masculine yet compltely biological female enters a facility and someone keeps calling her "he" or a man because of those traits, that would definitely be a form of discrimination.

Unsurprisingly, free speech advocates and faith-based care facilities are upset about the development, partly because they would be compelled to act in a way that defies their religious dogma and partly because there's absolutely no way the state will limit the bill's protections just to care facilities.

Specifically this is such a crock of shit and some horrible reporting. What is the idea that it would be used outside of the specific situation this based on exactly other than speculation and an attempt to reframe the issue?

Not only that but from this article it says a person working there would have to knowingly call them the wrong pronoun, and if you have someone trying to entrap another person by changing it just to do so(which doesn't happen) itd be laughed out of the court room, if it even got there.

But I forgot it's CE, the place convinced that transpeople are going to specifically change their genders on a whim just to be able to get away with breaking the law

Are people complaining about that, though? I think people are complaining that it shouldn't be a literal crime that warrants a large fine and possible jail time.

And really, the whole respecting others thing has to go both ways.

Person A wants to be called "she"
Person B wants Person A to be called "he"

If person A gets their way, it will be offensive to person B.
If person B gets their way, it will be offensive to person A.

Person A can be pressured/coached into being tolerant of those that will call them differently than what they want to be called.
Person B can be pressured/coached into being tolerant of those that wish to be called differently than what they would like to call them.

So since everything goes both ways equally, it begs the question of why one side should be given priority and preference over the other.

I think slapnutz is a better fitting name choice than fenderbender. So I'm gonna call you that from now on since preference should be equal.

It should be noted that gender pronouns are not the main thrust of the bill. However, they're clearly included.
