of course you are going to complain about having wasted your money after you watched it, it's an Adam Sandler movie! We all know that is what we will do without having to see them, and yet people still do in the vain hope that maybe he'll actually produce a good movie for once. And yet he never will.

Maybe if his shitty half assed movies didn't make more money than the movies where he actually tried and did pretty well then we'd get more of those.

Call him a sellout or whatever all you want, I don't think anyone else in that situation would make different decisions. You can actually put forth a lot of effort and work to make 1/3 of the amount of money as taking a vacation with your friends and filming some half assed movie.

It's easy to put the blame on him but in reality it's the consumer's fault many of these supposed "sellouts" choose such a route, and it's so easy to sit back and throw that label on someone when it's not our career at stake.

Cue the "but his early movies were good!" mantras... while I'll give you that they at least tried to be movies with a unique story and sensibility, they also were not funny or good.

50 first dates was actually good. I kind of like Happy Gilmore and Mr Deeds too, but the rest of his movies suck
