Transparency. So we can see which mods are or aren't biased but without knowing their real username.

Certainly don't have competition from any other sites, it has always been something almost exclusive to this site (certainly no other gaming site) and has always been more trouble than it's worth.

get rid of karma too, it's worthless.

Moderating and dispute system is totally fine as it is imo. Not even close to fucking hard to avoid violating the ToU...

What SBAllen should REALLY consider is IP banning for notorious trolls with multiple accounts. That is an endeavor nearly everyone on this site would be in favor of.

I don't understand how it wasn't set from the beginning that they didn't specify why a post is being modded. Makes no sense.

And I agree with voldo, just give them ID numbers if they're that paranoid about mods being harassed.

This is a terrible idea to have. Just because other sites have it worse doesn't mean you don't need to improve this site. Plus this site's boards are dying, we still need to compete with them to catch and retain users.

I've been a moderator on 4-5 websites (one larger than Gamefaqs) and I've seen droves of mods quit over implementations like this and the mod staff never gaining back the right number of mods or even quality mods. The good ones always quit first.

Did they do it from Voldo's method of assigning an ID to the mods?
