definitely get sonic mania if you don't own it on another console. otherwise mario+rabbids comes on the 29th. i'll be getting that, and hopefully that will keep me busy for a good while. then wait for odyssey.

I second those who are saying Splatoon 2, ARMS and Sonic Mania. There's also Mario Odyssey, Fire Emblem Warriors and (if you didn't play the Wii U version) Pokken Tournament DX coming later in the year too, plus quite a few multiplatform games that you can get if you feel like playing them on a portable system.

I'm looking forward to the Switch versions of NBA 2K18 and WWE 2K18, plus I've put more hours into the Switch version of Minecraft than on any other system.

I second this. I bought Bomberman full price on launch day because I was a huge fan of the series before. It was still a really fun game, but not worth a full $60 price tag. If you can get it cheaper (like below $40) then I recommend it.

The Switch version of Sonic Mania does have some wonky menu bugs btw and has some frame drops at times. I'd suggest getting it on other consoles if you can, but it's still perfectly playable on Switch if that's your only option.

IMO, being able to play the game on a portable system is a big enough upside to be worth some minor performance issues. Unless the Switch version is a totally irredeemable mess compared to the XB1/PS4 versions, the positive outweighs the negative in my eyes. But that's just my personal preference. I love portable gaming.

It's not. biggest bug is the home button is very unresponsive. pause the game before pressing the home button because you're going to be waiting 2-3 seconds for the button to actually register.

I forgot I am also looking forward to Metroid in addition to Xenoblade. I won't be too bothered if I only end up with a few games for it though. I highly doubt I get Mario unless it turns out to be the greatest game ever created.
