A new development on this.
She finally made a public apology on a Facebook live stream. But some of the things she said, the way she said them...disturb me. She talked about being a servant of God. Normally someone saying something like this wouldn't bother me so much but she went on to say God and Jesus are her judge and jury. The way she said this gave me the impression she thinks she is only answerable to God. She does owe a thing or two to God but until she meets her Maker she must also answer to more earthly authorities. Right now, when/if they decide to boot her out, I have no problem picturing her standing up and saying, "I am a servant of God! You have no authority over me!" The wording was careful enough that it shouldn't be a legal issue and on top of that, it shouldn't be a legal issue considering the fact that we're supposed to be a country where free speech is a thing. How I heard the God and Jesus thing is that she's saying that the court of public opinion is not a worthy of levying a judgment against her, which I do somewhat agree with. If that same court were held for Trump, he'd have to ask for his resignation too.
