I mean I don't like the guy either but let's attack him with facts and not lies...

He condemned hate on all sides at first, then people were like "what's the other side?" So he came out and made another statement that was better.

They've been doing this since before the election. Doesn't matter what he says, or doesn't say, it will be spun in a negative light.

I'm not a fan of the, "you're with us or against us" mentality, never have been, never will.

Now, I'm not saying that it's a wrong goal, just that specific method is super sketchy.

Well to be fair, a lot of what we he says is asinine and pandering.

He flat out refused to answer people asking how he feels about being supported by Nazis and the KKK. He could have denounced them in one second, and he refused to say anything.

So if he had just come out, initially, and said "We condemn harshest terms all hate and blah" no one would have cared. But him, being him, had to add his own little "on many sides" to make sure the nazis knew he wasn't just bashing them.

Then there was his rant yesterday about the "alt-left" (which isn't a thing) charging at people as if they started it. Not to mention the line where he suggests it's possible for a nazi or a member of the kkk to be a "fine person".

It's not possible for a nazi to be a fine person.

Probably because it's obvious he's supporting those neo nazis

He's technically right about the permit thing, and the "peaceful" protest that was advocating hate

BUT

It's obvious he doesn't see nei nazis/white supremacists as a major threat in this country. Why? Because if he does he loses a huge majority of his support. Seriously, who's really left after he loses them??

It's not that he's dumb for condemning the nazis later than he should, it's just he doesn't view them as much of a threat

Why does he have more energy attempting to build a wall then he does attacking a group that is trying to actually divide the country into black and white

The thing is though, being on the left doesn't automatically equal moral high ground, but that's how it is being presented. Everyone is too afraid of being called a racist to criticize "jump the gun" reactionaries like BLM, for instance, or be called a nazi sympathizer even if you dislike both sides.... People are fucking stupid.

Bc they literally aren't a major threat. That's like saying a university anarchist club is major threat to the current status quo

If there had been indications of violence on both sides, it would have been fine. But all indications show that it was the racists who showed up armed for battle and went to battle.

There wasn't widespread rioting. There wasn't anything that would justify ranting about "both sides" when the concern was a terroristic attack by a neo-nazi.

All you need is his rant about the "alt-left" a thing that doesn't exist to show you what his feelings are. He wasn't ranting about how bad nazis are.
