At least for me Super Mario World is probably a top 10 game. I don't like the series more than Zelda, though.

I like the 3D games better than the NSMB games, for sure.

One NSMB gsme was great. Doesn't even matter which one. But then the other two were basically identical to it, and it was such a letdown.

I think of NSMB as the Street Fighter IV of the Mario series: a revisit to the design tenets of the earliest efforts but with modern thinking applied.
