Yes No View Results An Oklahoma Federal Judge has awarded the 15 y/o male student who had Sex with his 31 y/o Middle School Teacher, Jennifer Caswell who is currently serving a 10 year sentence, 1 MILLION Dollars...and SHE will be the one who has to pay him that figure!! The judge said the high figure was for causing him emotional distress after Jennifer plead guilty to 2nd degree rape and was sentenced to 15 years in prison in 2015 but 5 were suspended after she had 6 sexual encounters with a 15 y/o student at Hollis Middle School The student and his father filed a civil lawsuit against Jennifer and the School District that employed her and finally, Robin Cauthron ruled in the boy's favour awarding him 1 million smackers for intentional infliction of emotional distress The judge said the boy was "reported feelings of depression, isolation and self-blame" and was humiliated over the news of his sexual relationship The boy and the family are pleased with the outcome and hope it sends a message to teachers across the state for sexual abuse perpetrated by educators The student was a POPULAR ATHLETE and then turned into the subject of mockeery in his community which caused him to enroll in another school at a different town where has no friends OR family there He is now receiving counselling to deal with the trauma and his therapists said he will not trust women and female authority figures for a LONG TIME!!. Jennifer has no means to pay the million and is unlikely to appeal the verdict as the victim's family has acknowledged the money is uncollectable Hollis Public School already awarded him 125,000 smackers in a separate lawsuit Jennifer went on Dr Phil and claimed she was not a rapist and that the BOY was making the first move. At 15 year old you know exactly what you're doing unless you have some kind of mental disorder obviously. It's not like any of them were forced into this situation. At best she should be sacked and spend sometime in a cell for having sex with someone who's underage. Less than 15 years though as that's excessive given the situation. I guess my mentality is different as 16 is the legal age over here. It's not like your brain magically "grows up" within a year.
