Well the best way to approach a (...do we acknowledge lost frontier?) 4th game is to take advantage of naughty dogs enviroment building and build a cartoony but less cartoony take (think enslaveds art style). Game play wise the guns can stay, but the game needs an injection of the platforming it started to forget by the 3rd title.

Another interesting thought would be reversal of the roles, Have the perspective shrink or maybe the duo end up in a precursor time where the Ottsels were what was around. Have Jak be the tiny character on Daxters shoulder.

Ultimately less focus on a bad grand theft auto clone would be a great start for this franchise, as it started to slip fast from 3d platformer to sandbox nightmare.

XIII is the best beneficiary of adapting a telltale style adventure system to tell its story aspects. But not all the way, instead keep the fps stages in the game but spend more time on the storytelling aspect to really flesh out the tale the way a fps really can't.

This is a franchise that has tried literally everything to stay relevant and failed. The classics are still that classic, the open worlds of thug feel dated now, the motion control accessory games can burn in hell. The best way to revive Tony hawk is embrace what made the first game so great, you go off the rails.

What has worked best in Tony hawk is nostalgia. So why not pay tribute to some of skating games past with a modern flavor? Include an arcade mode for those seeking that experience, but have the center campaign be completely meta, Tony Hawk is trying to revive the Tony Hawk Games. He ends up in 2D stages, top down stages, Down hill levels, etc. Throw in a mix of what every skating game has done but do it with care. Don't have filler, don't fill the games with skater scene unless you are going for parody. Really at this point the best way to make a solid tony hawk game is tight controls and make fun of itself. Hell the entire series began as a fantasy experience of stuff you could never do in real life

A classic 3D fighter but lets be real, this is a game that could be much better in 2D and Marvel Vs Capcom showed us that. Add in elements from SNKs Samurai Shodown and you could have a futuristic clash victory

Aside from being an early Jrpg that took off on GBA when the market was bare Golden Sun failed to capture with the DS version. Well heres how to remedy that, take advantage of the Switch and revive the game. its really that simple, Golden Sun is a franchise that succeeded off of being in the right place at the right time. People are starved for classic jrpgs (see World of Final Fantasy doing way better than it should really have), the djinn system is great and a puzzle heavy rpg to collect these guys to perform insane summons is enough to carry the game. But the cast, you gotta slap Camelot out of their shallow character creator and inflict some depth. Another bland shallow cast dooms this franchise
