Interesting though that nothing happened when Eve took a bite of the fruit, but Adam triggered it's effect when he bit it.

I am not so sure you can make this conclusion

7 And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons.

could be she ate then walked a mile and gave him to eat

or she brought it to him and she ate first and him right after


also, it doesn't say that both their eyes were opened after he ate
it just says that their eyes were opened as a consequence to the sentence before, which in one breath is them both eating

it could even be that they both ate and went about their day and an hour later their eye opened

the Christian God is too human-like for me to not notice he was created by the extent of the human imagination of those times. but I understand that many people depend on these beliefs just to make it through the day. some people would literally have no idea what direction to go if they weren't indoctrinated into Christianity, so I try not to make them think too much.

actually the opposite is true, he is very alien

note this verse the TC nitpicked:

“This is what the Lord Almighty says... ‘Now go and strike Amalek and devote to destruction all that they have. Do not spare them, but kill both man and woman, child and infant, ox and sheep, camel and donkey.’” (1 Samuel 15:3)

now, killing all the men and their kids and raping the women is something almost universal in ancient human cultures

yet God doesn't command this

he says kill all the people
ok, perhaps a very angry human who was racist might order this

but he goes on and says slaughter their livestock, their work animals even

why would any human command this? these are resources. these are valuable, and aren't they innocent in whatever hatred the humans have against each other?

notice a similar thing in Joshua 7
other than gold and silver for the temple, everything in Jericho was to be destroyed

this displeased the human sentiment

21 When I saw among the spoils a goodly Babylonish garment, and two hundred shekels of silver, and a wedge of gold of fifty shekels weight, then I coveted them, and took them; and, behold, they are hid in the earth in the midst of my tent, and the silver under it.

why not allow them to keep the spoils that were not gold or silver? what harm is this garment under the rationale of human logic?
you say God thinks like a human, yet then why does he tell them to burn all this wealth?

This has been pretty hotly enforced in every Baptist church that I've been in. Women aren't allowed to teach Men's Sunday School and aren't allowed to be Pastors. In fact, if you can find a church with a woman pastor then most other churches consider that church a weird liberal church full of hippies.

there is a famous passage that shows humans didn't understand or like this line of thinking

1 Samuel
3 Now go and smite Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they have, and spare them not; but slay both man and woman, infant and suckling, ox and sheep, camel and ass.

1 Samuel
13 And Samuel came to Saul: and Saul said unto him, Blessed be thou of the Lord: I have performed the commandment of the Lord.
14 And Samuel said, What meaneth then this bleating of the sheep in mine ears, and the lowing of the oxen which I hear?
15 And Saul said, They have brought them from the Amalekites: for the people spared the best of the sheep and of the oxen, to sacrifice unto the Lord thy God; and the rest we have utterly destroyed.


once again we see that man had no issue killing other men
but when it come to possession of wealth, he found an issue

the king wanted to keep the livestock and say "well we kept them to serve the lord and sacrifice them"
but God wasn't pleased with this

looks more like examples of odd people being existent in every time period. we have Mormons and we have Scientologist in modern American society. quoting things that I already feel is crazy is just pushing me further away, tbh.

you should be more secure in your beliefs so you do not feel the need to try to convince me. I was raised Christian, so it's not like I am looking from the outside in. the Christian God has petty human emotions and reactions because he was created by petty, unstable people from a different time, culture and country.

it's a pretty convenient religion though. all you have to do is ask for forgiveness after doing something deplorable, and it's all good. can't beat that.

A similar situation happened with mal fet and the topic got modded. The mod said something in the vein of "if you're you going to bring up negative aspects of the quran you should also bring up the negative aspects of the bible." Lol

criticize =/= slander, but those who get modded can't tell the difference and don't want to be held accountable for their own words. those who haven't gotten modded for "criticizing" are probably mature enough to know where the line is, lol.
