Friendships happen. You meet through mutual friends, or work/school. I don't see why it's a bad thing as long as it remains platonic.

I think with most women if you're open and honest about your friendship with that particular other woman, they're trusting.

If anything I think guys might be more insecure about girls having guy friends

Honestly, no.

Work acquaintances are cool, but if I met some girl and started hanging out with her 1-on-1, I'd expect my wife to have a problem with it no matter how platonic it was. I'd be a little concerned if she had zero issues with it tbh.

Note that I'm responding to the question of MAKING friends while in a relationship. If you've got a long term friend going in, that's different.

Yeah well that's because normally men want to bed a woman. You can see it easily and the way people joke today is pretty crude. When I've had girls that are friends you damn well know I would if I could..
