What are you waiting for and what games are you looking forward to when/if you finally do get a new console?

I suppose I'm waiting for a price drop. I have a lot of games on backlog on previously purchase consoles, so no rush. I want to play SFV, MGSV, KH2.8, Halo 5.

I want a Switch, but I also want to avoid the first units of any console so I'll wait a while before getting one.

Needs some awesome games and a price drop. It's hard to justify dropping hundreds of bucks on three different consoles just for maybe a few worthwhile games. The switch is somewhat tempting, the other two are not.

I'm just to poor to afford one. I want a PS4 to play WILD, Last Guardian, Monster Hunter World and a bunch of other games. I could technically get it but I'd have no money for games so I'm not going to bother.

Same. It kills me there are 2 Dead Risings that I haven't played, but I don't want to spend hundreds on them

I've been planning to buy next gen for years now, but still have not. I have an Xbox 360, PS4, and Wii U. Still got tons of games on my backlog.

Quite frankly, I'm just way more into movies now. I've seen over 20 movies in theaters this year. I keep buying and watching movies on blu ray too. Movies are just way easier to get into. Video games cost more money and require a lot more time commitment.

I wouldn't say I'm really waiting for any specific games either, there are already a few games on current gen consoles I'm sorta interested in but not enough to actually bother getting the console for them when there's plenty of older games I still have left to play

PS4 is current gen and even assuming that was a typo and you meant PS3, the Wii U is technically a current gen console as well.

I'll probably pick up a PS4 and a switch eventually, but they're not super important to me. Mainly interested in VR, but also zelda, final fantasy and persona. Will probably pick up some other games, but that's all down the road. The reason I'm waiting is I had a huge financial set-back in 2015. Midway through 2016, I was job-less, car-less and had less than $30 to my name just as my lease was about to expire, so I moved back in with my parents. I'm currently saving up to move out and I want to be out by november (because that's when my new car gets paid off).

I always wanted to build a PC because I heard cheaper in the long run due to simply having to switch out parts to keep up with modern specs and also digital downloads are dirt cheap.

You can play MGSV on last gen systems.

I just bought a Xbox1 500GB package with 4 games included. I'll get it all ready to go and wait till my son's birthday next month to break it out.

I already bought BotW on Wii U so right now there's no games justifying me buying a Switch. Though if Mario Odyessy is out before Christmas I'll probably get one for the kids for Christmas.

Don't have time. Most new games suck. Have a great gaming PC. I like playing the games I already have. Still play doom, re4, Mario etc once every few years.

Last console I bought was the PS3. I've already blacklisted Nintendo after getting burned on games with them. Twilight Princess was the last straw.

I stream music off the hd on my PS3, use it for CD player and dvd, BD playback, there are many ways to tweak things on the PS3 like 44 vs 48, dynamic range etc. plus I play Sacred 2 and 3 and sonic allstar racing. I probably will get another ps3 slim.

I moved over to PC years ago but the Switch looks interesting, so I agree with this post.

i have a switch. might be convinced to get ps4 eventually. but not yet. also got a 360 a few months ago to keep me entertained between gaps in switch games, like right now. i'm waiting for the mario+rabbids game so i'm playing 360.

I simply don't have much time or money for a new console. If I did, then I'd get a PlayStation 4.

If Dragon Quest XI switch comes to America I might just get a switch but if we only get the PS4 version I might have to double dip.
