Ergo, nothing pre-existed. Ergo, nothing is infinite. Ergo, nothing is God.

Whatever came before the Big Bang pre-existed the Big Bang. Doesn't matter what it is, but it exists in an infinite capacity.

based on our understanding of time, "before" the big bang may not be a coherent concept.

The idea is that that can be reversed somehow and nothing -> Matter + Anti-Matter

Wooooow didn't see this lazy piece of shit cop out coming. Well done.

"We don't know" is another way of saying "something had to exist before it, whether it was something or nothing" given the way our physical laws work.

Reality isn't a "coherent" concept. Time is just a manmade structure anyhow, and doesn't affect how the universe exists.

Show me time, then. Can you show me where exactly is time?

You can't? Oh that's right, because it's just a concept we use to navigate the universe we're in.

I realize we can only work within the scope of what reality gives us.

However, it gives us just enough to understand that something set this all in motion: either nothing or something. What other third factor could there be? "We don't know" isn't a factor, because it's recognition that something pre-existed. Even if it's nothing.

why do you assume to not be in motion is the universes natural state?

Exactly. We don't know if it was something or nothing. That's the point.

Then it was always in motion, which makes the universe itself infinite.

our universe is infinitely expanding so technically even if that was true we'd never get to that other universe(or whatever's left of it)

no object is in motion relative to itself. as we are part of the universe, we can only perceive a nonmoving universe. we would have to exit the universe and observe it from outside of its own boundaries to see if it's moving or not.

That doesn't even make sense. You actually made my point more plausible. Who's to say the other universe isn't also infinitely expanding? And just one day Kapow! Big BANG. Here we are. I'd guess our universe didn't have insurance so we got Earth.
