I haven't experienced disc rot but it has definitely changed my mind about physical copies the more I read about it.

Besides, I like digital more now because it is so convenient in many ways.

Both physical and digital have their pros and cons though. But I kinda started shifting towards digital last year or so. Although I sometimes still buy a physical copy for my collection but I'm been caring less and less about that. I don't have enough space for it and I can use the space I have for my physical collection on something else to be honest. Not like my collection will last forever.

I used to be a huge fan of digital. Unfortunately, when they shut down the Xbox live servers I lost my extra levels for Splinter Cell ( Kola Cell and Vleska Submarine.)

digital is way better

i have 198 games on my Xbox, having to switch discs all the time would be super annoying.

how many different games do you play at once?

i have a max of like 4 to 5 games i'll play at a time, and just leave those ones out for convenience.

it's hard to top quality manuals and cases, and as digital becomes more popular, manuals become more lame.

i enjoy gaming sessions, so i will also physically line up games if friends are gonna come over or something. also nice to be able to show people cases and whatnot.

as long as both options, digital and physical, are available, it's excellent.

yep, this is what I like about digital.

steam is doing a good job with digital games. if a game you purchased gets removed from steam, you still have access to it. i can't say the same about xbox 360. dont know about playstation.

i can definitely see why going all digital can be scary but as long as you're not trolling or being rude in online multiplayer games or doing anything that's messed up, you shouldn't worry about getting banned or anything.

I'm mostly scared of obscure things that'll never, ever see another release rotting. I have Raging Blast 2 on PS3 with the original soundtrack (not the shitty PS2 song reissue), and because of all the legal stuff, if it goes it's gone.
