Of course, as they are dying off and the main barber retired it's become less and less of a social hangout. So I think it's kind of true that, at least for white people, I think the barbershop is being phased out in this way in favor of hair salons and shit. I get this is an American thing so explain exactly what it is. Because to me, it always seemed like a bunch of guys hanging out. Like an a pool hall or something. Kinda what it is. Everyone knows everyone. They talk sports, roast each other. Usually theres bootleg dvds or cds being sold. And theres usually one or two people there just hanging out not getting a hair cut. Its actually one of the "warmest" places to be in.
