IIRC it's best of 3 sets for guys, and each set is best of 6 or 7, and you score 4 times (not including ties/ advantage) to get a point. That's a ton when the action is pretty similar the entire way. I have the same problem with pool. Yea when I first started watching pool I never understood the audiences reaction when the starting player missed a shot. It's like my Japanese wife trying to watch the NFL. I like some of the players and I have some understanding of how insanely hard it is to play at their level.
