Gordon Hayward to the Celtics. That sucks a little because Boston, but it's also good to see some talent move from West to East for a change

I saw somebody say play Wrath of Cortex and Warped before #1 and that the first one is like a challenge run in comparison. I'll keep that in mind if/when I decide to get it.

100% it was her and her husband. No way I was wrong about the goofy ass husband. Bill was a separate encounter entirely. I'm 98% on him.

I'm scared about what the Giants will do because they have a lot of good players on the team but there's talk of selling and rebuilding when they essentially have the same core guys who they won championships with, so I don't want to see them give up so early even though this season is already over for them.

The Rockies are in a position they haven't been in for a long time, and for the first time in Jeff Bridich's tenure: Buyers at the deadline. Let's hope they don't screw it up!

I think I'd rather see them stand pat than sell the farm to rent a middle reliever. If they can add a good one for a nice price, though, that's great. It's certainly not the only position where they have a need, but it's usually a good one to add since the majority of relievers are expendable. It's trickier trying to figure out what to do with positions occupied by young but promising players. I guess they could always slide rookie starters into the pen if they pick one up, but what do you do at a position like shortstop? Story has been bad, but you don't want to give up on him entirely.


Who are the big trade targets this year, anyway? I haven't been hearing much about the deadline... perhaps it's still too early, but I thought I usually have a decent idea by now.

Josh Donaldson could be available. If the Cardinals decide to sell as they should probably no one is sage besides Martinez so you could see someone like Leake being of interest. It wouldn't be that surprising if the Mets moved Degrom I guess. Usually starting pitchers are the prize then maybe a big position player who's almost played out his contract.

Forget that, Degrom isn't going anywhere, I thought he'd been around longer than he has. The Mets probably think they can bounce back next year anyway. My official prediction is now Sonny Gray.

Well that sounds like a depressing trade class, but maybe that's not a bad thing. It's unlikely the Rockies would get a huge prize anyway, so maybe it's best there's not really a huge prize for anybody.

I'm not really too worried about the current leaders in the NL adding a top target since I'd be happy just to make the playoffs and I don't think there's much that can happen for us to win the NL West. Worst-case scenario would probably be the D-Backs getting a big piece since obviously I'd prefer the WC play-in to be a home game. That or the Cubs putting enough of a run together to buy at the deadline.

There are some good guys in here and they don't even include the rumored Josh Donaldson move from a couple days ago. Probably no future MVP's (though McCutchen was an MVP once) but some potential difference makers. A Yonder Alonso trade would be interesting.

I googled Josh Donaldson and every article is about the Cardinals being interested in him. I don't know what they hope to accomplish with that move.

They're still only 5.5 games back so it sort of makes sense to go for it. The problem is that they just suck. Donaldson would help a lot, I won't lie, but I don't think it would be worth it because the World Series aint happening either way.

The amount of future they would have to give away would be huge just for a shot at the playoffs. Either way, I'm sure it's intriguing to get player of that caliber on your team.

I also don't think we have the pieces to make it happen. The Jays would have to accept a package with Alex Reyes who's only played intermittently. It would also hurt to lose him anyway

Donaldson is really really good but the Cards are so bad I honestly want them to just blow it up just to see what that's like. I barely watch them as it is this year so if they go from bad to horrible but maybe get some good prospects, who cares.
