Need to gain more weight, and I am already at the point where I already eat so damn much. The feeding tube failed last time, it just caused a lot of pain and a little nerve damage so it had to be removed.

Weight plays a big part in the healing and survival and I am around 25 pounds from what I need.

Luckily I've never been one to just roll over and die, so I guess I will plow through even more food. If for no other reason than to spite my doctor who thinks it can't happen....and my family, but mostly to prove a damn point. Either way, I'll either be dead or fat enough for surgery within the next 6 months or so.

As a fellow twiglet I feel your pain. People underestimate how hard it can be to gain weight if your body/mind aren't built for it. Keep up the fight, though. It sucks but as long as you have a good game plan I'm sure you can do it.

How much do you weigh if you don't mind me asking?

5'6". About 110 pounds right now. They want me around 130. That is on a 7,000 calorie a day diet. I usually only average about 5,000-5,500 though, and even that is a lot of fucking food.

Would "cheating" on your calorie requirements be a bad thing in this situation? I mean if your life is on the line it might be a worthwhile risk to take a spoon to a tub of lard. 7,000 calories a day is insane if you're consuming that through actual meals.

She's got a weight gain disorder. She needs to eat a lot of calories to actually maintain herself.... or something like that, so she took this problem and became a youtube star with it. Portions are crazy, but some are smaller than others and might give you an idea on approaches.

I need to know what you're taking for eating medicine or if you're taking any at all. I need to know how you take it.

How much water do you drink? I'm just confused because I just got out of the hospital in May because of a non Cystic Fibrosis related infection. But it made me lose weight. So I was at 135 pounds and I'm 5'11. Bro, I've been having huge protein shakes, around 5000 calories a day and I've put on 18 pounds in 28 days. I think we have the same mutation so I'm not sure why it's so easy for me to gain and not you?

Now i told you a year ago or something you gotta have protein filled diets. We can't absorb fat well with CF despite our eating medicine but that doesn't mean we can't absorb protein. And a pound gained by protein is less calories. So I've been using that exploit to gain weight.

I have two 24 ounce shakers. I use 3 different protein shakes a day once in the morning and at night, but I combine the shakes to make it easier. So 12 plus 12 is 24 ounces. I Have a meal a day, 2 servings of pasta and a big ass steak.

So I wanna know what you're doing? Talk to me, I'm the only person here who can relate or give you perspective. I don't wanna see a fellow dude die. Especially since my doctor and a scientist who is a friend told my mom that a functioning cure isn't far off. Hang in there man, keep fighting and stay positive.
