He is somebody any fat 10 year old who thinks they have to hate themselves can watch and go "he's ok, life can be ok, I don't have to be miserable even if I want to"

Which is even more remarkable because I think he was abused or something as a kid.

He's not a perfect person but he has a humanity that is charming enough. Not "obv million of views" worthy but half those view are probably from people like TC who want to be mad at everybody who is happier or more successful than them.

Things like this are painted as things of empathy, and while there is a sliver of truth to that. I think it's much more an excuse to be mad at a guy who is successful.

Sure he has willpower issues and mental issues, it would likely be a lot better if he could fix all that, but he hasn't yet. What good does mocking him do? Doesn't really prove anything or accomplish anything.

I think mocking him comes from a response to the idea that "everybody in the world totally thinks he's a-ok" no, lots of people who like him might think he's ok or might not. But if he's not somebody you like then just ignore him, right?

I think it's this:
1. He's fatter than pretty much everybody so we all have an excuse to feel superior
2. Despite our excuse to feel superior, people who don't get how the world is might feel like the whole universe thinks he's cooler/better/more awesome then we are because he's got millions of followers
3. We resent the idea that elevates him over us, so we are going to insult him because we do have the obvious method of weight to do so.

One of my biggest problems emotionally came from the idea that "the world thinks BLANK" so like "the world thinks I'M TERRIBLE" and "the world thinks BOOGIE IS AWESOME" and I really got a lot better when I realized there is no universal hive-mind that determines things like that, and that particularly when it comes to me, I'm not special enough for the world to think anything of me. I don't think or asses the value of most strangers, so logic suggests most people don't think or asses my value.

If by saying "Boogie is pathetic because he is fat" you are emotionally saying "I'm not a worse person than Boogie, I wish the world would stop acting like I am", good news! Nobody thinks that.

Mostly that he's made videos about his obesity, how much he'd like to be less fat, videos discussing how hard it is to be in his current state, and despite all the tips, encouragement, and tough love he's a horse that just won't drink despite being surrounded by water. The hate isn't just because he's obese outright.

Also because he gained traction and fame in about the era Diablo 3 came out (and late WoW) and his entire youtube personality is about being a hyperbolic complainer and that's not something to be encouraged.
