Never get the taco burrito. It's literally just a burrito full of things they already put in a normal burrito.

I don't really know how drunk you are, but obviously you made it. Maybe you shouldn't have mentioned it the way you did though since it makes you look kind of scummy to have driven there :/

Eh, I can understand why people drive drunk if they just want to go home, but doing it after you're already home is kind of an extra level of irresponsible.

Though I also think we're a little quick to demonize drunk drivers and lump them all into the same category. I don't know if all the MADD assemblies and whatnot I had to go to in high school really were effective at making me understand drunk driving. They led me to believe that all drunk drivers get double vision, can't walk straight, etc., but that shit does not happen to me at all at 0.08. It's only the people who are extremely drunk and/or are already shitty drivers to begin with that are swerving and driving on the wrong side of the road

I've driven sleepy before.. way worse than driving buzzed.

I'd say there was two times in my life I have driven that I was legit a road hazard.. and both of those times I stopped about two minutes in and was like I should not be doing this and stopped the car

I agree, but that's part of the problem... if somebody doesn't perceive that, how are they supposed to know if they can drive? When I'm stumbling around and slurring my speech, I can tell I obviously shouldn't drive, but the in-between levels are where it gets tricky. I don't think the scare-tactic education we have is very helpful since it just emphasizes the cases where any person with common sense would have been aware of the fact they shouldn't drive without that education.

They also teach you that the one way to be safe is to not drive/not drink at all, but that's almost on the same level to me as preaching abstinence from sex - it completely ignores that there is a motivation to why people do that in the first place. And I don't think there's anything wrong with, say, having a beer when you go out to lunch and driving

If you're in the habit of driving after having a drink or two you can get your own breath alcohol tester to keep on hand. Or you can just abstain from drinking if you'll be driving (ride share or taxi to get home). While you may drive fine, you may be surprised at how sober you can feel while over the BAC limit, and the risk to you is real if you end up at a check stop or similar situation. Blowing over the limit is still going to bite you in the ass.

If you're drunk enough to want taco Bell, so much so that you'll drive while buzzed, you're probably way past where you should be operating a vehicle.

I remember one time I was at a party and they had a breathalyzer there, though I think it was just some cheap thing from Walmart that didn't work very well and more for fun than to keep people from driving. Pretty sure I walked to that party anyway.

I may have driven over the limit at some point in my life, though I can't really say for sure. I don't really even drink that much anymore so if I have, it was probably a long time ago, but I do still drive after a drink or two. Three or four is the area where I start feeling a little unsure about it, and five+ is where I know it's not a good idea (unless it was over the course of the entire day).
