If you'll permit me a likely-stupid question, I've never considered getting into online gaming services like Steam or Gog because I've exclusively owned Macs for the past half-decade. But Gog's description on google says it supports games for Windows, Mac, etc. Is that just a general statement, or can I actually play games like NV, Fallout 1-2, and Morrowind on my Mac hassle-free without any kind of OS converter or whatever?

FO3 is really bitchy with Windows 10, but I finally got it working with mine.

Not a dumb question at all! And not one I knew the answer to off the top of my head. GOG supports Mac in that they're working on bringing classic games to it, but it isn't every game. Ultima, for example, can be played on a Mac and it specifies it on the Ultima games front pages. Fallout 1 & 2 were briefly included but GOG lost the rights when publishers changed. There's a way to 'wrap' the game or something for a Mac but I don't know a lot about that at all.

Gotcha, thanks for the info! Is there any good way to check on GOG and see if a particular game's Mac-supported? Like a tab or spot in the description?

It should show right on the game's main page what platforms it is for.

Example: https://www.gog.com/game/fallout_2

Only says Windows

Yep! I'll use Syberia as an example, since I'm looking at it. :P it's on the right of the game page, underneath the Add to Cart and Share buttons.

If they aren't getting in and they don't even have your password, what's the problem? Just about any account system is going to have people trying to get in. You ever checked your Gmail login records? I barely use mine and it has a few people from Russia or Israel or China trying every week.

@MC_BatCommander @Leanaunfurled Thanks for pointing that out for me, I very likely would've glanced over it. Looks like everything I want to play is still Windows-only, though. I didn't really expect them not to be though, so no great disappointment there. Thanks anyway!

I've already played 3 and played the hell out of NV, and I'm itching to play the latter again. Due to a convoluted series of events, my Xbox360 is broken and I can't access the original account that all the DLC's tied to - just wouldn't feel right re-buying the 360 legendary ed just to play it on consoles again. And my last PC laptop died on me shortly after I'd bought both Fallouts 1 and 2 as well as having finally tracked down the Morrowind GOTY. I've been putting off getting a gaming PC for about ten years now, but I'm sure I'll finally get the motivation eventually.

Oh ok! Well, while reading about GOG and Macs I kept reading about a way to play Fallout/2 on one, and apparently it isn't so hard to do? Program called Wine.

Wow, that's an excellent tip, thank you very much! I dug up some info on Wine and it looks like it might work quite well. I'm gonna try it out within the next couple days, when I'm feeling a little luckier (I tend to have bad luck with new computer programs). Thanks again!

Maybe? Windows 10 is on FO3's game page on their site, but I'm not sure if that means much. I know they've done that before for other games.

I have the games on Steam already, but I'm one of those stupid suckers that like to support Gog when they do something I like. This is them doing something I like. This is further bolstered by their commitment to ensuring the games run to the best of their abilities on your hardware, and if they don't, you can get a refund.
