She's basically a worse Tracer plus some invisibility. Place a teleporter down somewhere safe and then go invisible and ambush a target with headshots, teleport away if you get in trouble just like recall with Tracer. Pretty much the most important thing you need to do though is keep key health packs hacked on your side and theirs.

If you want to help a teammate, hacking the enemy while your teammate distracts is a good opening, and then you can teleport/invis away. You don't need to stick around and get killed.

And yeah she pretty much sucks so you could just not play her.

Change Hanzo's scatter arrow somehow. People cried so much about Roadhog he has been changed several times, but Hanzo's bullshit one-shot arrow you don't even need much skill to use still exists. I say this as somebody who uses Hanzo a lot and has scored a lot of kills just aiming at the floor or in small rooms/passages and getting kills even without an arrow to let me know people were around.

You are literally the first person I've seen to suggest Orisa is bad. I see her about 10x as often as Sombra, probably more.

I've found my calling, and it is to play Ana. I've made so many people look like fools with my sleep darts, got damn. Sleep darting a turret-form Bastion is the best.

I am so bad with Ana. Like I could probably heal more as Lucio being on speedboost for 9mins out of 10minutes than I could with Ana in a game. It's so hard hitting small targets and then I get flanked by Genjis and Tracers all the time.

Well ana is among the most skill intensive heroes in the game.

I am garbage with Widowmaker too. I'd like to get decent with every hero, but some are way harder than others.

Yeah the thing about Ana is that it's not super obvious when you're doing well. Your stats are never gonna be amazing like some of the DPS and tank characters. Even the healing stats look a lot worse than a Mercy. But it's great when a teammate is fighting someone far away and I snipe a heal and it turns the battle and saves my teammate.

I like being able to be a healer and help my team, but Mercy is just kinda boring to play. Ana at least requires a lot of skill, it's fun still. Plus Ana can actually defend herself, I've won a lot of one vs ones versus flankers I shouldn't have won due to sleep darts and grenades. Ana's grenade is amazing.

In order to keep from getting flanked as easily though, you should actually stay closer to your group. Personally, I often love to basically be a part of the big core ground group, just a shade further back. Then I can stay unscoped, which makes it easy to heal people nearby. Like even though she's a sniper, I find I often don't want her to be way way back up high, because it makes it harder to be effective. Tailing my group on the ground often works much better.

I like Sombra. I don't really have trouble playing her but you do need a good team since he's she's basically more of a support character than offense.

Pls no, playing a good Sombra player is already annoying as fuck, especially when I'm Ana. Please don't make it even harder to not get a clip in the back of the head every minute.

It's actually hilarious the 2 abilities used for sneaking around are loud as fuck to the point they might as well be Michael Bay explosions. Its much worse for Reaper though since his teleporting spots are really limited. "Oh boy I wonder where he teleported at the end of King's Row. Can't be the one vantage point. Nope no way would he go there."

Picked Pharah on Hanamura and just destroyed the enemy team. Died like 3-4 times and got 4 golds along with PotG. Pharah too good on console.

you guys are wild. the three new characters are among my favourite to play. I have more time with Ana and Orisa than Sombra because Sombra is more situational, but they're all a blast.

I think they're right about Sombra and Orisa generally being "not great" as far as Comp goes? Orisa's biggest problems are being a large target and being easy bait for Genji and Tracer

I think Orisa is great, but if the enemy team focuses on her she doesn't stand a chance. That's not really a problem in the games at my level though.

Also, I love playing her on the Well level. I get so many kills with her gravity gun.

Of course, win rate doesn't tell the whole story of course, as we've seen with Symmetra (everybody knows the situations she's great in, so she ends up with an amazing win rate).

But I definitely think Sombra's fun. She's not about killing, she's about utility and harassing, and maybe a little bit of killing.

I think she's fun. I just suck at using her well. Got a dupe of Dune Buggy Bastion and dancing Tracer. Oh well more coins I guess. Officially have enough for the remaining skins and emotes now if I don't get any new ones in the next 9-10 days.

Competitive game 1: Some guy on our team plays junkrat the entire match into a zarya. >.>

Competitive game 2: Played Lucio the entire game as the enemy team simply did not kill me. My team actually communicated and the other team lost so badly.

Competitive game 3: Had 4 people on coms, but a team of two who did not join team chat and stayed as sub optimal heroes for the situation the entire time. Lost badly.

Competitive game 4: Half the team was on coms but the other were not. However, the three that were not actually switched heroes and didn't do dumb stuff. Pretty easy win.

So far: 2-2

Heroes played: Tracer, Lucio, Soldier 76, Rein, Zarya, Zenyatta (briefly), Phara (briefly).

I don't want to use a ton of coins in case those rumors of Summer Games coming back are true.

Orisa is amazing in the right places, like Anubis attack. So much of the defense on that map is based on hiding around a corner or on a ledge. In contrast, there's little use for her on Volskaya attack. On Illios Well she should be one of your number one fears, she completely zones the entire middle of the arena, more than Lucio or Phara ever did. But when you get to Ruins, that's a no go.

I've been playing a LOT of Reaper after the new buffs were revealed to prepare.

In QP at least people spend way too much time shooting Orisa's barrier when it's far better and easier to just push through it with mobile characters and fucking destroy her. Once you close that gap with somebody like D.Va you can deal with her pretty quickly or take out the healer/s then wreck her. Pharah is also pretty great at bumping people away from barrier safety, but people just use whoever and rarely ever switch in QP.

I kinda wish they had a range indicator for some moves in the game. It's hard for me to tell just how far back Zarya's beam reaches sometimes and then for stuff like Flashblang I can never tell when I'm safe to use it aside from really close range, but it can actually hit stuff further away than you'd think. Also sometimes have trouble figuring out how far Winston's gun reaches. Sometimes I swear I'm close enough to finish off a character, but then I die or have to leap closer because the tickle gun didn't go like 1-2 inches further.

Also put flying robots in the shooting range dammit. I want a way to practice shooting at Pharah/Mercy that isn't like setting up my own custom match or something.

I think a lot of people get confused by Orisa's description as an "Anchor Tank". She's not that great on defense. Orisa's greatest strength lies in creating a fortified point to launch an offensive from in team comps not built around flanks.

Both Orisa and Sombra can be amazing. Orisa does tend to need a lot of healing, especially if the other team communicates and tries to take her down together.
The problem with Sombra is that most people just don't know how to play her. I've been in some matches were someone competent was, playing as her, and actually communicated what they were doing. It usually resulted in one team completely wrecking the other team.
That said, I don't have much practice with her, so I wouldn't fare any better than the average player.

I kinda wish Winston got something to help him with other tanks. I know it's not his role, but all the other tanks have another tank they're good against or go 50/50 with. Winston gets absolutely wrecked by Orisa and Roadhog. If Reinhardt charges him he's fucked and D.Va doesn't really give any shits about his tickle gun or barrier so she can dive right in and do lots of damage to him. I'm not the greatest with him, but I notice myself losing a ton of health or dying if I try to pick off a healer that's close to another tank.

Winston is so in Meta right now it's crazy. Why did dive comp suddenly skyrocket again?

I imagine Winston's gonna drop hard next week, though.

If you decloak next to someone you deserve to die in the resulting hail of gunfire.

A lot of people don't understand that Sombra can easily sneak up on people without being invisible. You should use her invisibility to get you across enemy lines safely, not as a sneak attack.

I love seeing videos and gifs of invisible Sombra being killed by fire strikes, hook combos and basically every attack when people have no idea where she is. There's like an entire compilation of them on Reddit.

The other day a Soldier got a Play of the Game wherein he inadvertently killed an invisible Sombra with Quick Melee.

I had to vote for his card just for that.

I went 5-4-1 (one of the losses was from my PC crashing in the hero selection) in placements and placed LOWER than last season where I went like 2-8.

The quality of my teammates this time around was a lot higher. Granted last season I came back just in time to do the matches so I did them very late so like two of the losses were just throws, and it had three DCs for my teams. I understand how the system works, but I can't help but think it's a dumb system as I admit I probably didnt get much better in like a couple of weeks, but my teams sure did.

Lucio shot up a lot since people rarely pick healer in QP solo and I get boop stages a lot. Tracer was my most played and I felt like I was good with her until I saw actually skilled Tracers. I die as her way too often and her stats are horribly tainted by the days of Overwatch I had where I got tons of lag and DCd almost every match. Lag resulted in tons of self environmental deaths :(

I had a competitive match where we couldn't get on the point for a single second. One of our teammates left in the second round, and we got stormed really early and were about to lose it all, but somehow held it together 5v6 for the draw. I like games like those.

Most of my loot boxes today were 4 dupe ones. Eventually I'll hit a point where event items are the only items I need and then it will truly be terrible.
