Turtle Shelves?

Who the hell wrote this?

Also Conservative Universe? Didn't Mario kiss a dude in Mario RPG? Didn't he play with Peaches panties?

The fact that there are typos, and that they use the same character models for every promo shot, and that weird verbiage does make me skeptical of the legitimacy of this "leak". Yeah, that's some high quality art right there. But I also recall that Nintendo Next video that fooled people many moons ago.

Personally, I don't believe this is real until I see a Ubisoft confirmation.

"Badass princess" kinda gives it away tbh

These images aren't promotional material. They're internal slides meant to show Ubisoft shareholders and higher-ups what the "roadmap" is for the product's announcement, marketing and release.

If this is legit, this is going to be a rabbids game first and foremost as evidenced by the codename.

I'd bet that this was a rabbids game that they ended up just slapping Mario characters into after getting the okay.

This is 100% real for sure. We've had several gaming journalists bank their reputation on it. The concept leaked before the Switch reveal and everything matches up to the leaks. It's kinda too ridiculous to be a fan fake.

It looks like an incredibly stupid concept to the point where it works hopefully. If the gameplay gets a good reception at E3 I'll be there.

Ubisoft should try to get their Rabbids in all the first party games. Halo x Rabbids. The Last of Us x Rabbids.

Also I'm guessing the majority of the Nintendo E3 announcements have leaked. I'm guessing this, Super Smash Bros and Pokémon Stars were meant to be their big surprise announcements. But there's probably some other stuff. At the very least I think their first party lineup for 2017 is overall known.

Rabbids are just a tad less awful than Minions, so no.

These pretty much confirm that this is all fake.

But damn these are getting way too convincing.

No, they confirm it to be real not fake lol

Matches up perfectly with every prior leak and has been confirmed by multiple sources.

If Kotaku report on a leak (well Jason Schreier specifically) it's pretty much guaranteed to be true tbh. And they already confirmed Mario x Rabbids.

Kotaku and Eurogamer are the two sites that I'm confident in when it comes to leaks.

So this is a game then? I think I may need to go into rehab after this.

Then again, it'll probably be better than the trash AlphaDreams and Intelligent Systems have been releasing as of late.

Keep in mind that those images supposedly aren't meant for public viewing. They're internal slides from Ubisoft to show shareholders. Considering that, remember how easily things from Ubisoft gets leaked? Far Cry 5 info got leaked and it ended up being 100% accurate.

If that art really is just fan-made and this is all fake, then it'll be incredibly impressive considering how on-model the art is.

I never really found the Rabbids all that offensive. Like I wasn't crazy about it in the odd game I've played that have them but I didn't outright hate them either.

I'm guessing the humor of this game will be very visual as a result. I don't really consider that a bad thing considering it's Mario.

I heard this game's gonna be more like a Strategy RPG than something like previous Mario RPGs. That alone doesn't make me too interested...Fire Emblem never grabbed me due to its gameplay style.

Hopefully it's like that Ghost Recon Shadow Wars game that launched with the 3DS. That game was a good strategy game from Ubisoft.

Likely means a Rabbids Direct if I had to guess. Just like how they attempted to (and I'd argue succeeded in) convince people of ARMS last week.

I wonder if the game started off as a Wii U game, but Ubisoft pulled back because of other developers pulling back for random reasons. (like FIFA selling cards probably wouldn't have flown as easily on Nintendo) then once Nintendo came to developers due to the Switch, no one had anything other than Ports. but then here comes Ubisoft with an idea/game that's mostly complete.

I mean Rayman/Globox had trophies in Smash 4 for some reason, would it be extreme to assume that Nintendo of Japan saw some value in Rabbids, like how Just Dance was popular enough to have a Yo-Kai Watch crossover? i just wonder why they're going for Rabbids right now though, the videogame series has likely ran out and the last thing they did was a Nickelodeon cartoon. Rayman himself even had a few new games (though none takes place after 2 or 3?), seems much more larger than letting devs use Nintendo's characters/icons for their games like Monster Hunter costumes, Mario Maker Appearences, or again, Mario/Luigi costumes in Rayman Origins. Scribblenauts also had a sizable amount of Nintendo content, though that could be Warner Brothers doing their magic.

I remember Iwata talked about licensing out their IP's to other developers before he died. That would have been after Ubisoft would have written off the Wii U. So I'm guessing talks for this sorta stuff happened around then. I doubt that this was ever a Wii U game. It's even using the engine used for The Division. But who knows. It could have been something bounced around between them around the Rayman Legends days and was put on hiatus.

They let Namco use Zelda and Fire Emblem for their Dynasty Warrior spin-offs. They also let a developer create a Puzzle & Dragons spin-off with the Mario license. I guess this is something similar. But it does seem significant that not only have they let a Western developer use Mario like this but they've also let them develop something completely new and not like a spin-off that's basically the same game as something established with a Nintendo skin. The story behind how this came about would be interesting.

As for why Rabbids I think it makes more sense than people give it credit. Rabbids were damn popular on the Wii. I think their TV stuff is doing well in France. I don't think Ubisoft wants to give them up yet. Presumably they expect the game and Mario IP will be enough to attract people who don't care about Rabbids.

I believe that's because Nintendo published some of the Rayman games in Japan.

That's Tecmo-Koei, not Namco.
