He hasn't had a solo since 2008, Meanwhile Iron Man is getting a fourth movie and a role in Spider Man's Marvel Movie universe movie. Guy just shows up in Avengers movies to wreck shit.

Isn't he gonna be in the new Thor movie? That's probably the best he's going to get.

Neither have I.

Last I remember, I thought Disney/Marvel didn't have the rights now to do a solo Hulk film; solo movie rights for the Hulk still belong to Universal, correct?

There is no such thing as an Iron Man 4 as of now, I would definitely like to see a Mark Ruffalo solo film as The Hulk.

Marvel has the rights to make any solo Hulk movie they want, but Universal has distribution rights so they'd have to share profits and the first Hulk didn't make enough to justify sharing profits again when they can just throw him in everyone else's movies. He's harder/more complex to make a good solo movie for, anyhow, so I think they're totally fine just having him show up to hit stuff in other movies even though I'd fuckin' love a Fixit movie.

Yeah hes basically sharing a movie with Thor it seems like, and thats good enough

Hulk is pretty boring and The Incredible Hulk did the worst out of all the Marvel movies by a large margin

The Incredible Hulk was right before Marvel really established their cinematic universe though. It was still tainted by 2003 Hulk. It would likely be way more popular now. But as mentioned earlier why would Marvel bother sharing their profits.

I think Ruffalo is totally fine with them not doing a standalone Hulk movie too.

The other thing to consider is that Hulk also works best as a wildcard. A solo Hulk movie puts him a bit too firmly into the role of traditional hero and kinda takes away the appeal of the character.

I like him as that solo drifter who wants to be left alone and constantly getting dragged into problems. Maybe that worked better as a TV show or comic series though lol.

I guess it makes since, Nobody really likes Hulk as anything more than a big angry bruiser, the melodramatics of his coherent self makes people wonder why have Banner at all, In the comics Hulk becomes his own persons separate from Banner, gets so strong eh punches dimensions, leads armies, has a wife and kids and other stuff and I only know this because for a very brief time a worked a job that had the world war hulk comics on it that I would read during closing along with Shonen Jump. I guess with Hulk in the next Thor movie means they'll be doing the movieverse's take on the Hulk vs Thor short that came out together with the Hulk vs Wolverine one

I wouldn't say Hulk is only famous for being a bruiser. I mean he's basically a superhero Dr Jekyl and Mr Hyde. His inner stuggle with his monster has always been a defining part of the character. Probably the most defining considering how big the TV show was back in the day.

I feel like a solo Bruce Banner movie may be more interesting than a solo Incredible Hulk movie >_>

They tried that in 2003 and everybody was mad that there was little hulk. I still hope they make Ross become the Red Hulk I cannot believe they trusted him of all people in Civil War
