I played it once as a kid and barely remembered it. I never followed the Zelda series, playing only the original Nes 1&2. I know at some point I promised if I got my hands on a Zelda game I would play through it here. Snes RPGs are easily my favorite, and I couldn't pass buying this mostly because of it, though I guess it's actually an action-adventure? It reminds me of Terranigma which is why I thought RPG fit it... oh well.

If you guys are interested into giving me some MOSTLY spoiler free help I would like to give you my blind jaunt through this.

Yeah, I think there's only one essential item new players forget to look for.

If you explore often enough, you won't be left out in the cold when things really heat up.

Pretty much. Like of course I know about other Zelda games and some of the characters through osmosis.

Zelda 2 was always my favorite, which I know it was insanely hard and very different from the first therefore getting a lot of flack. But the music and the change of pace was exciting, plus the gameover screen haunted me.

So I turned on my Snes to at least get this started. My first questions are...

1. Why was one of the 7 wisemen short and/or cut in half?
2. Why do I violently hurl everything I touch?

So my father(?) with a magnificent mustache told me he's leaving in the middle of the night and would come back tomorrow. He leaves with a sword and shield in hand. Afterward I throw a juvenile tantrum and destroy every vase I can find for being left alone yet again.

Apparently I don't care for his topiary decisions either. I also forgot I picked up Meridia's Beacon because Zelda keeps interrupting what I'm doing to remind me I could be saving her.

Ah so destroying shubbery IS important. Also I have a lantern I guess, might be useless in this weather though.

Well either way, he's already dead :/

After destroying a garden along the castle I fell into a hole and found him dying. He explained how to use the sword and might also have spoiled the game that Zelda's my twin or something.

But if it's in my blood to be better at killing bushes, this sword did make that a lot easier.

Now I'm actually a pretty big fan of a Snes game called Lagoon. I never knew anything like it or anyone who played it, but I have to say LTTP has a lot of things in common with it. Hell they were released in Japan within a month of eachother... so I certainly hope it was coincidence. I'm noticing battle being similar albeit a bit smoother.

I'm killing guards I suppose, and they really don't care so long as they don't see me which makes it much easier.

I always thought he was going to say "Save the Princess...Zelda is your... ... ... destiny"

Probably wouldn't grammatically make sense. Text would of said "it's your" instead of "is your" if that was going to be the case.

The GBA port did fix that part of the script.
