There are people who legitimately like cold weather, or is that some hipster thing?

I really like cold weather especially when it starts to snow, Winter is my favourite season besides Fall and both are beautiful. I really dislike humidity or being too hot.

Fall is awesome. I have no complaints about fall.

Winter gets on my nerves a bit. sometimes the cold pisses me off. sometimes snow/ice pisses me off. I like the short daylight hours though.

Spring is mostly okay in terms of temperature, but it's like an inverse fall in that it transitions from good to bad instead of vice versa. if spring would just skip ahead to fall with nothing in between, spring would be pretty good.

Summer has literally 0 things about it that I value in any way, shape or form... and it makes me want to kill myself as it is happening. from June through September, I have absolutely zero interest in life whatsoever.

yeah same here. my ideal weather would be maybe 2 months of like 25-40 degree weather (minimal wind chill), one month of 60s (could tolerate some days in the 70s if humidity is low) and 40s/50s for the rest of the year.

Oh well. The only season that I like is summer: The hotter, the better. I don't even like spring that much because there are days that dip below 60 degrees, and that's too cold to go outside unless there's a good reason to. Fall and winter are death itself. If it were 105 every day, I'd be happy.

The key to enjoying hot weather in the summer is swimming. Outdoor pools are great.

Yeah I don't get the hating on hot weather, regardless of region. I mean I understand that based on the sheer number of people on the planet there will be those who don't prefer heat, but there seems to be an awful lot of people here straight up damning summer to hell. That's just odd to me.

I'm not in a notoriously hot area, but it does get into the upper 90s and low 100s here sometimes, and it's super humid, too. I've never once thought "man, I'd love to be outside doing a thing, but it's just too hot." I'm even someone who sunburns really easily!

Yeah, "It's too hot to go outside and do stuff" doesn't occur to me. "It's too cold to go outside and do stuff" occurs to me all the time!

based on my experiences, the fact that I'm still alive is probably influenced to some extent by the fact that I'm not in your climate. I'm being a bit dramatic yes, but I had an incident when I had a partial blackout due to heat exhaustion/dehydration (not from lack of hydration effort) and shit got weird. I don't want to go through that again. It was less than 100 at the time.

I feel like people are not understanding that the extremes of the various seasons are really dependent on where you live

if someone living in Seattle said that summer is the worst season I would think that was fucking weird, but if someone in Phoenix said that I'd be like 'well no shit'

I understand perfectly well that the southern US is hot.

I mean, we have frequent heat advisories every year. As in we're told not to go outside because it's too hot >_>

But hey, at least you can cook an egg on the street or bake cookies in your car!

Spent a good chunk of my life in the South and in Arizona. Both have garbage summers, but the South is worse.

100+ temps with 90% humidity fuck that.

Then again I think 80+ is too hot. I don't deal well with heat.

This totally depends on where I am living at the moment. Humid Summers and sweaty nights are not my idea of fun, Spring can be lethal with rain and allergies, Winter can easily turn too dark and if the sidewalk/roads get icy it's obnoxious as hell.

Overall I'd have to say Summer is the most likely to be the worst. If humid, I immediately hate it. If too hot, then unless I'm at the beach I can't do anything. Having to pay more for AC is annoying.
