I think owls do 270 but never full 360, as to why? Dunno they can move their heads around pretty fast, 180 should be enough. Their skulls however are designed so they don't snag their carotid arteries when they rotate like that and kill themselves.

i realize that im like this way about most bands and musical artists

i can really like 2 or 3 songs of a band, but i can never be a proper "fan" of their music. its all cherry picking and never being into one artist like so many others can be. except for SoGAP --- which is probably why i can still call myself a brony today.

A lot of the hype for Haruhi seems to be that it was doing a lot that other shows weren't doing at the time. In hindsight it's okay but I think it's been surpassed by lots of other shows. It was a trendsetter .

Have you seen Nichijou? It's a moe show with mainstream appeal. It's honestly a show I'm not sure I can imagine anyone not enjoying to some degree. It's sort of sketch comedy with loose continuity.

I haven't seen Hunter x Hunter but Death Note is good imo.

Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood is probably one of the most well received fantasy shonens ever so if that might be a good thing. I'm not sure how much you've seen cause it doesn't look like you're updating your MAL. Attack on Titan is obviously another really mainstream epic anime that I think has the same director as Death Note, and has reached similar levels of popularity, with season 2 currently airing.

i don't know why i keep hanging around the anime community. okay i do know why, but im saying that i like so few anime that its just not my medium to watch. yet american cartoons are not of interest to me (big fucking shocker im a god damn 27 year old) and at least JPN anime puts out interesting stories and characters every blue moon that i hope i can like someday.

what i should really be doing is throwing my computer out of my window, watch it break and explode, and fucking start reading these stacks of books in my room. im a book guy. im a writer guy. i should be all about that ink and paper medium yet i've been kidnapped by the internet.

I think it's good to experiment and try new things, fiction-wise. Most of my favourite franchises are things I went into with no expectations or knowledge of, and was completely blown away when I encountered something I had no idea I was even looking for. Sometimes I end up wasting time on shit I don't enjoy, but it's worth it if I can find something new to love.

oh i know why. i go to the reddit book community and they have shit tastes in books and come off as snobbish and unappealing to approach and talk to. same with 4chan literature. they literally shit on my favorite authors on the regular. meanwhile its much easier to find and approach anime fans in the nerd community. they seem fun. i known some of them for years and i try to fit in and participate in the anime community, yet im a book guy at heart. so im stuck in a limbo and don't feel like i belong in either place and its stupid. i want to read what i like but i have to be lonely doing it and that sucks.

He would fucking destroy me lol. He actually keeps track of things like directors and animators, which I think is really what distinguishes true weebs from fakers.

I would kick his ass in a Fate discussion though, I think. I take issue with him describing Fate/Zero as "nihilist" but after listening to his video on it I'm pretty sure he's just using the wrong word. It's more existentialist. Unless I'm mixing up the words. I'm not that well read on philosophy.
