Technically 13.

(To simplify why the error occurred, 1983 to 1984 is two write-ups, but 1984-1983 = 1. So 1984-1972 = 12 so add one to get 13.)

So uh, where are the writeups for the years? Did this amount to anything? The front page with the contest is so underwhelming. You can hardly see what's going on in the pictures, you have to scroll over the images to even figure out half the games because the images are so small, there's no write-ups (that I can find), etc.

You can hover over the match picture to see a piece of text that lists the major releases from that year.
