Is there any chance the 3DS will have a price drop by December?
Would be nice, coz I could ask for this for Christmas when I get back from London. Little miffed at all the great songs that are DLC but such is the era we live in now.

when the 3DS XL comes out next month I wouldn't be surprised if the regular DS gets dropped to $150. Otherwise there's only a $30 difference between the two models
I was given the runaround here. Called TRU, they said there was no ETA. I go out, stop by Target to try and get them to price drop, they don't, I buy it anyway thinking I'll probably have to wait a while for TRU to ship it, and when I get home the order is being processed and can't be canceled. So I have to return it to Target or, if I want to play the game I just bought, wait till it arrives to send it back and get my money back.

Holy ****, you're a genius. It depends on the time limit for returns, though, and whether it's still the first edition or not. Might be kind of risky, and then I'd have to... Well, I guess the worst-case scenario is I'd have to return it to TRU, and of course be down $30-40 bucks until I receive it. Looks like the time limit for returns is 90 days. I already am well-stocked on groceries, but being broke is a pain.

I'm pretty sure Target has no way to tell if the one they originally sold you came with the stylus or not. AFAIK they're not different SKUs or anything.

Well, they do sell it as "Theatrhythm with stylus" on their website but it just says "3DS game" on the receipt. I do feel good about duping them slightly (Not even in an illegal way) because they refused my price-match, although I'd really prefer to dupe TRU, the cause of all my problems.

For me, the Final Fantasy series marked one of the first times I realized music in a video game was actually capable of stirring the soul, and VI in particular inspired me to go out and spend a bunch of money on an actual soundtrack CD
The whole presentation and premise of the game seems cool, but the rhythm gameplay just doesn't look that fun. Just tapping over and over seems like it would get old quickly.
the battle rhythm game seems kind of interesting but I don't really know about the other stuff. Just having input icons show up over some cutscene that you probably can't even look at since you're busy looking at the icons seems kind of lame.
